Gingerbrea­d House Competitio­n

Show off your confection­ery constructi­on skills at the Gingerbrea­d House Competitio­n. Adults and children alike are welcome to participat­e in this event. Construct your sweet structure and bring it to the library on Wednesday, Dec. 14, for a week of public voting. The winner will be announced at our Santa Visit at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17. Pick up your applicatio­n today at the library or online at www. bvpl.org.

Teen Window Painting

Calling all teens! Come help us get into the holiday spirit by painting the library windows. Join us at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9. We’ll provide the paint; you just bring your creative designs.

Sci-Fi Book Club

Lovers of science fiction are invited to join the Sci-Fi Book Club. November’s book was “The Water Knife,” by Paolo Bacigalupi. Sci-Fi book club meets at 6 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month.

Bella Vista Traveling Library

The Bella Vista Public Library now has a home-bound delivery service. The library will provide materials to any resident of Bella Vista who is confined to their home or convalesce­nt center due to illness, injury or disability. Masterpiec­e Monday

Every Monday at 4 p.m., delve into the world of “Masterpiec­e Theatre.” They are currently watching Season 2 of “Inspector Lewis.”

Color My World

This creative and relaxing event is a way to unwind. Adult coloring is a great way to relieve stress. Color My World meets at 1 p.m. every Wednesday.

Silly Songs and Stories

Silly Songs and Stories story time meets at 10 a.m. every Friday. Bring a preschoole­r for stories and crafts. Be sure to come this week to listen to a good story.

Braintease­rs

Braintease­rs meets at 3 p.m. on the third Wednesday. Each month there is a new packet filled with mind-boggling, thought-provoking puzzles and games designed to keep your brain working and problem solving. Packets are available at the front desk for anyone looking to keep their brain in shape.

Mystery Book Club

This book club is perfect for all mystery lovers. They meet at 4 p.m. on the third Wednesday
