Presbyteri­an Church

A Candleligh­t Christmas Eve worship service will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, with Holy Communion being served. Worship on Christmas Day will be at 11 a.m., followed by a Christmas potluck dinner in Fellowship Hall. Please sign up at the Informatio­n Center if you plan to attend the dinner. New friends are always welcome.

The church office will be closed Monday, Dec. 26.

The Book Club meets at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, and the last Thursday of each month in the parlor. New members are always welcome.

Beginning in January, the Chancel Choir will rehearse at 11:30 a.m. following the Sunday morning church service instead of Wednes- day evenings. If you'd like to join them, please come and sing.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

“Dinner and a Movie” will be starting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, with a light supper. It's great entertainm­ent for the whole family.

Christmas Eve candleligh­t service will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24. Christmas Day unity service will be at 9:30 a.m.

The Men's Bible class meets every Monday at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Please park in the back parking lot and enter the lower level.

Boxed Christmas cards for $3 are available in the church library. Place the money in an envelope provided and put it in Elaine Schurman's church mailbox.

The Shepherd's Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A container for your donation is in the church narthex.

The Lutheran Hour is broadcast at 12:30 p.m. every Sunday over radio station KURM-FM (100.3).

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, Dec. 21, the Oasis Food Pantry will be closed for the Christmas holiday, and there will be no Wednesday evening activities at the church. The church will also be closed Wednesday, Dec. 28, for the New Year's holiday. The office will reopen at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4.

A Christmas Eve Worship Service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, at the church. The community is invited to attend.

On Sunday, Dec. 25, in order to allow families more time on Christmas morning, there will be no Sunday School Growth Group classes. The community is warmly welcomed to the 10:15 a.m. Worship Service with a “Joy to the World” theme. Pastor Mark Voll's sermon title will be “Do You See What I See?” with a text of Luke 2:8-20.

Unitarian Universali­sts

The Unitarian Universali­sts of Benton County meet at 1110 S.E. Evergreen St. (Little Einstein Mon- tessori School) in Bentonvill­e, near the southeast corner of 14th and J streets. The Sunday service, which begins at 11 a.m., is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

There is no service Sunday, Dec. 25 or Jan. 1.

Sunday School is available for children through age 15. A Unitarian Universali­st adaptation of Jerome Berryman's book “Spirit Play” is the primary resource. The morning is structured based on the Montessori approach. As in Montessori, the key elements are the classroom environmen­t and the teachers. These elements free the children to work at their own pace on their own activities after an initial lesson.

New Life Christian Church

Three identical services will be held on Christmas weekend: at 5 and 7 p.m. Dec. 24, and at 10 a.m. Dec. 25. There will be no New Life Kids Programmin­g at these services.

Highlands Church Christmas Eve Service begins at 4 p.m. in Highlands Church Sanctuary.

Christmas Day, “Come and Go” communion will be served by Pastor Bryan and John Matthews. There

will not be a formal worship service, but the sanctuary will be open from 9:30 to 11 a.m. for communion. Reflective music will be playing, so you can sit, relax and offer thanks for this joyous occasion.

Highland Christian (Disciples of Christ)

Highland Christian Church welcomes people of all faiths to join them for their Christmas Eve Candleligh­t Service at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, and for worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 25. Pastor Paul Seal will deliver the Christmas Day sermon.

St. Bernard Church

Get Ready for the Gospel Group will meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, in Room 203.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

The Rev. Elise Cowan will present “CHRISTmas” for the Christmas evening service at 7 p.m. Dec. 24. There will not be a service Sunday, Dec. 25.

Bella Vista Community Church

The next Newcomers' Orientatio­n will be Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 7 p.m. in the parlor.

Come for worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings with coffee fellowship before and after the service. Pastor Jeff Reed will be preaching Sunday. Adult Bible Study starts at 8 a.m. A staffed nursery is available as well as children's worship for ages 4-12.
