Long-term Health Care Seminar

Financial Services Representa­tive KC Carpenter will hold two informatio­nal sessions regarding the options of long-term care. This is a purely educationa­l seminar. The first session will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, and the second session will take place at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9.

Card Making

Make your very own stunning cards at our monthly card-making class. This month’s meeting will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11. There is a $15 supply fee for this class, which makes three cards.

Poetry Class

This class is designed to showcase the power of poetry and teach young minds how to concoct their own poetic verses. Tuesday mornings 10 a.m. Ages 8-13. Please register for this event at the front desk or at www.bvpl.org

Author Visit: Sara Daniell

Arkansas author Sara Daniell will be at the library at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, to share her works and writing experience. This event is geared for ages 11-18. Some of her books include “In Creeps The Night,” “An Unfortunat­e Journey: The Tale of Orion,” “A Winter’s Romance,” “Summer Seventeen and You” and many others.

Storytime with Dwayne

Every second Friday of the month at 10 a.m., Miss Faye and Dwayne, the library dog, lead our Silly Songs and Stories. Silly Songs and Stories is every Friday morning at 10 a.m. Bring your preschoole­rs for stories and crafts.

Bella Vista Traveling Library

The Bella Vista Public Library now has a home-bound delivery service. The library will provide materials to any resident of Bella Vista who is confined to their home or convalesce­nt center due to illness, injury or disability. Anyone interested in this service can call the library at 479-855-1753 or email program coordinato­r Argie Willis at awillis@bellavista­ar.gov.

Young Readers

This children’s book club is perfect for readers in grades 3-5. They meet at 4 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of the month and are always excited to welcome new members.

New Foreign Policy Group

Members are sought for a monthly foreign policy discussion group that will meet at the library. The group will choose topics from “The Great Decisions” publicatio­n available at www.fpa.org. For more informatio­n, call Bob and Nancy Brown, 479-855-3729, or Mike Stenson, 479-855-0299.

Knitters and Crocheters

Knitter and crocheter wannabes are invited to brush up on their skills and learn some new techniques from 1 to 3 p.m. every Tuesday. Novices will be guided by experience­d knitters and crocheters. Participan­ts may bring their current projects or start a new one. Attendees must bring their own supplies.

Rocket Languages

Rocket Languages are now offered through the website. This language-learning service offers online courses for 15 different languages. All that is needed is a library card to access it.

Mystery Book Club

This book club is perfect for all mystery lovers. They meet at 4 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month.

February’s displays are provided by Marlene Nash. Anyone interested in displaying a collection should contact Rebecca at 479-855-1753.

Floral Arrangemen­t

February’s floral arrangemen­t was designed and provided by Judy Jeffrey of the Bella Vista Garden Club. Each month, a member of the Bella Vista Garden Club creates an original floral design to be displayed for patron enjoyment.

Hours of Operation

Regular library hours are 9 a.m.8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Bella Vista Public Library is located just east of Town Center off Lancashire Blvd. (Arkansas Highway 340 East, turn at the Bella Vista Baptist Church) at 11 Dickens Place.
