Lutheran Church

Do you find it difficult to make a Sunday morning service, or are you looking for a relaxed, casual worship experience? You are welcome to the Saturday night service at 5:37 p.m. at Bella Vista Lutheran Church.

“Dinner and a Movie” is at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, with a light supper followed by games.

The Men’s Disciplesh­ip Class meets every Monday at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Please park in the rear parking lot and enter the lower level.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is in need of donations of diapers sizes 3, 4 and 6. A container for donations is in the church narthex. The pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Friday.

The Grief Support Group meets at 6 p.m. Wednesdays in the church library. Choir rehearsals are at 7 p.m Wednesdays.

The Sonshiners meet at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, and again at the Highland Rehab at 2:30 p.m.

The Lutheran Hour is broadcast each Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on radio station KURM-FM (100.3).

Presbyteri­an Church

The community is invited to a traditiona­l worship service Sunday at 10 a.m. Christian Education classes for all ages meet at 8:30 a.m. A nursery attendant is available. New friends are always welcome.

An Adult Study Group meets at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, in the parlor. Come and learn what it is all about.

Funds are collected on the third Sunday of each month for the Cents-Ability Hunger program to raise awareness of hunger and poverty in the world. The collection container is in the connector hallway.

Dinner Church will gather at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, in Fellowship Hall. An informal time of worship will be followed by dinner together. The meal will be prepared by a volunteer committee, so a freewill offering will be received to cover the cost of the meal. Please sign up at the Informatio­n Center and invite some friends.

The Book Club meets at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, in the parlor. New participan­ts are always welcome.

Ladies of the church will celebrate those having a birthday during this month at a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24. Please sign up at the Informatio­n Center to learn the location of this month’s luncheon.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

Sunday, the Rev. Elise Cowan presents “Life as a Roller Coaster.” Come as they share their Oneness. Refreshmen­ts and good fellowship follow the service.

A new Sunday 9 to 10 a.m. weekly Meditation Practices class takes place Feb. 19. Use of mantras, guided meditation, using the five senses and other methods to benefit daily life will be discussed.

The Masonic Philosophi­cal Society meets the last Saturday of each month in the Unity Center for a variety of discussion­s important to humanity and questionin­g universal mysteries. This month’s meeting is Feb. 25.

The Unitarian Universali­sts of Benton County meet at 1110 S.E. Evergreen St. (Little Einstein Montessori School) in Bentonvill­e, near the southeast corner of 14th and J streets. The Sunday service, which begins at 11 a.m., is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

A churchwide, eight-week Lenten Growth Group/Sermon Emphasis called “The Way” by Adam Hamilton begins March 4. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Bella Vista Community Church

Come for worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings with coffee fellowship before and after the service. Pastor Jeff Reed will be preaching Sunday. Adult Bible Study starts at 8 a.m. A staffed nursery is available as well as children’s worship for ages 4-12.

St. Bernard Church

Caring Friends, a grief share seminar, will meet at 1 p.m. Friday in classroom 205. Each session will include a video, group discussion and personal study. There is no charge to participat­e. The class is open to anyone, not just St. Bernard members.

On Sunday, Feb. 19, there will be a presentati­on for Adults Growing in Faith at 3 p.m. There will be a light supper following the discussion.

There will be Round Robin Bridge in the Parish Hall at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20.

Tuesday, Feb. 21, there will be the scripture study of “The Biblical Roots of the Mass” at 7 p.m. in the classroom.

The Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Members will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, in the Hall.

Mass is 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 9 a.m. on Sundays. Daily Mass is 8:30 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesday Mass is at 5 p.m.

New Life Christian Church

New Life Christian Church offers three Sunday services: 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. The title of the new message series is “Identity Crises: Do You Know Who You Are?” New Life Kids programmin­g for children birth through fifth grade is offered in all three services.

Seventh- and eighth-grade students will meet for “Emerge” from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sundays. “Engage” is designed especially for ninththrou­gh 12th-graders, who gather on Wednesdays from 5 to 8 p.m. Any teen in the community is welcome to attend.

A new college-age ministry is held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday nights at the church with a dinner and Bible study. All college-age adults in the community are welcome.

Sister2Sis­ter Game and Fellowship Night will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17. Ladies of all ages are welcome.

The Middle School Ministry will be taking fifth and sixth graders to the Christ in Youth SuperStart Conference in Tulsa Feb. 17-18.

The New Life Outreach Ministry will be hosting an Appreciati­on Luncheon at Cooper Elementary School for their teachers and staff on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Side By Side Ministry for senior, single ladies will carpool from the church at 11 a.m. Thursday,

United Lutheran Church

Pastor Karen will lead a Bible study on the Old Testament at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22. All are welcome.

There is an exercise class every Tuesday and Thursday at 8 a.m.

Piecemaker­s, a group who meets every Thursday at 9 a.m., make quilts for Lutheran World Relief. There are also tasks for non-sewers also, so please come join the fellowship.

Forest Hills Church

Forest Hills Church welcomes people of all faiths to worship this Sunday at 10:45 a.m. Pastor Mark Kirby will deliver his message, “Let’s Be Defeated,” from Genesis 32:6-31. The adult Sunday School class begins at 9:45 a.m. and the Prayer and Bible Study is led by Mark Kirby on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m.
