▲ Knights of Columbus present the 25th annual Lenten Fish Fry at St. Bernard Catholic Church. The Social Hall opens at 5 p.m., and serving begins at 6. They will serve catfish, potato salad, coleslaw, hush puppies, dessert and drinks. The cost is $10 per person. Tickets are necessary and can be purchased at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church office, 1 St. Bernard Lane, Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. or at the church’s Social Hall from 10 to 10:45 on Sundays.

Saturday, March 4

▲ Bella Vista Lions Club, American Red Cross and Bella Vista Fire Department will be installing free smoke detectors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Cooper Road neighborho­ods from Arkansas 340 to Arkansas 279. If you are interested in a free smoke detector and do not live in the Cooper Road neighborho­ods or will not be home, register at the Bella Vista Fire Department on March 4.

▲ A free seed swap will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale. Attendees are encouraged to bring seeds to swap, but free seeds will be available. There will also be gardening-related demonstrat­ions and handouts. The seed swap is sponsored by the Springdale Community Garden. The Shiloh Museum is located at 118 W. ▲ The Korean Sopranos will present two concerts to benefit Audrey’s Home of Hope, a home for expectant mothers who find themselves in need of assistance. These four internatio­nally recognized sopranos include Moon Sook Park, professor of voice at the Department of Music, University of Arkansas; Chae Yeon Kim, a lecturer at Silla University in South Korea; Hyekyung Kim, the leader of the Yewon Opera in Daegu; and Professor Jung Hee Kim, who teaches voice at Jeju National University in South Korea. The concerts will be held at 3 p.m. March 4 at Bella Vista Community Church and at 3 p.m. March 5 at Cooper Memorial Chapel. The performanc­e at the Community Church will be free, and a collection will be taken up to support Audrey’s Home of Hope. Purchase tickets for the Cooper Memorial Chapel event at the door (general tickets are $20; premium tickets are $30), at Audrey’s Resale Boutique or from any Board member. ▲ People with Parkinson’s Disease and their caregivers are invited to attend the Parkinson’s Support Group of Bella Vista from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road, Bella Vista. The informal monthly meetings provide a confidenti­al opportunit­y to talk, laugh and cry about life with PD. The meetings provide a source of informatio­n and an opportunit­y to ask questions, meet new people and share solutions. The group is affiliated with the American Parkinson’s Disease Associatio­n (www. apdaparkin­son.org). The meetings are free, and refreshmen­ts are provided. ▲ The Bella Vista Historical Society's annual meeting is at 2 p.m. at the Bella Vista museum, and it is open to the public. The speaker will be retired history professor Brian Scott, who will be talking about the impact in Arkansas of the U.S. entering World War I in April 1917. Please come, and bring your friends and neighbors, too.
