Kings­dale Squares

The Kings­dale Squares will dance at Rior­dan Hall on Mon­day, April 3, at 7 p.m. Jay Wright will be the caller. A Main­streem work­shop will be held at 6:30 p.m. prior to the dance for those need­ing to brush up.

Any­time Stitch­ers

The Any­time Stitch­ers usu­ally meet the third Wed­nes­day of ev­ery month, ex­cept Novem­ber and De­cem­ber. Any­time Stitch­ers are both new and ex­pe­ri­enced quil­ters who meet to share tech­niques, project ideas and make quilts for char­i­ties. The group gath­ers at the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista (across Tan­yard Creek), Room 23 (watch for signs). All are wel­come.

Needle­work Club

The Bella Vista Needle­work Club meets at 10 a.m. ev­ery Mon­day morn­ing at Rior­dan Hall. The group in­cludes those who knit, cro­chet, cross-stitch, weave, quilt or do var­i­ous kinds of needle­work. There is plenty of room, large ta­bles and light.

Those with­out a POA photo ID card will need to pay $2.25 at the desk. The an­nual group fee is $2. The first Mon­day of each month the club has a meet­ing and re­fresh­ments.

Bella Vista Women’s Cho­rus

Love to sing? Bella Vista Women’s Cho­rus in­vites singers from the area to join them. All are wel­come with no try­outs or ex­pe­ri­ence needed. The cho­rus per­forms clas­si­cal, pop, folk and show tunes for lo­cal clubs and events. Re­hearsals are Mon­days at 12:45 p.m. in the mu­sic room of Bella Vista First United Methodist Church.

The Bella Vista Sun­rise Ro­tary club has a break­fast meet­ing ev­ery Wed­nes­day at 7 a.m. at the Con­cor­dia Main Build­ing, 1 Con­cor­dia Drive, Bella Vista. On Wed­nes­day, March 29, Den­nis Ritchie will dis­cuss the Trans-Amer­ica Bike trip.

The Wil­lard E. “Rocky” Glidewell Amer­i­can Le­gion Post 341 of Bella Vista would like to re­mind the pub­lic of the all-you-can eat break­fast from 8 to 10 a.m. on the sec­ond and fourth Satur­days of the month. The so­ci­ety in­vites peo­ple to visit to get an up­date on BVBBS and all things blue­bird. Al­trusa meets at the River Grille in Ben­tonville the first and third Tues­days of the month. This is an in­ter­na­tional women’s or­ga­ni­za­tion whose fo­cus is chil­dren’s lit­er­acy.

Bike Club

The Bella Vista Bike Club is an in­for­mal group of road cy­clists who en­joy rid­ing to­gether. Their only rule is that hel­mets are re­quired on all rides. Club mem­bers come in a wide va­ri­ety of ages and skill lev­els. The Wood­carvers Club meets Thurs­days from 1 to 3 p.m. at Rior­dan Hall. Guests are wel­come and new mem­bers are ac­cepted for a nom­i­nal yearly fee. Bella Vista has some very tal­ented carvers and wood burn­ers will­ing to teach any­one the art of carv­ing or wood burn­ing. The group is a non­profit or­ga­ni­za­tion.

Pride of the Ozarks Bar­ber­shop Cho­rus

Pride of the Ozarks Cho­rus will meet at 7 p.m. Thurs­days at

Arkansas Arts Academy High School, 506 W. Po­plar St. in Rogers. Pride of the Ozarks is a mem­ber of the So­ci­ety for the preser­va­tion and en­cour­age­ment of Bar­ber Shop Quar­tet Singing in Amer­ica, also known as the Bar­ber­shop Har­mony So­ci­ety. Pride of the Ozarks is an all-male a cap­pella singing or­ga­ni­za­tion which en­riches lives through singing. All male singers of good char­ac­ter are wel­come to join.

Bass Club

The Bass Club is a catch-and-re­lease bass-fish­ing club that holds monthly draw tour­na­ments on Bella Vista’s two largest lakes from March through Novem­ber. They fish a team for­mat with boaters and non-boaters paired to­gether, weigh in a five-fish bag limit, and re­ceive the same points for the po­si­tion in which they fin­ish.

The club meets at 7 p.m. the first Thurs­day of the month at Rior­dan Hall, 3 Rior­dan Drive, Bella Vista.

Dec­o­ra­tive Artists

The Bella Vista Dec­o­ra­tive Artists chap­ter meets the sec­ond Satur­day of the month at Wish­ing Spring Gallery Stu­dio, 8862 W. McNelly Road, Ben­tonville. The meet­ings are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and in­clude a busi­ness meet­ing and paint­ing ses­sion. All skill lev­els are wel­come.

Vil­lage Art Club

The Vil­lage Art Club meets at 1 p.m. the sec­ond Tues­day of each month at the Wish­ing Spring Gallery on McNelly Road. Each month one of the ex­hibitors from the gallery dis­cusses the process and prod­uct they show and sell at the Wish­ing Spring Gallery, which is spon­sored by the Art Club. Each fall, the VAC also spon­sors the Bella Vista Arts and Crafts Fes­ti­val, and the pro­ceeds go to fund art schol­ar­ships and grants at lo­cal el­e­men­tary schools to fur­ther Arts and Ed­u­ca­tion.

The meet­ing is open to the pub­lic and in­for­ma­tion re­gard­ing mem­ber­ship is avail­able at the meet­ing.

Rick Echols, the POA’s Lakes & Fish­eries Su­per­in­ten­dent; Daniel Bul­lock, Pres­i­dent of the Bella Vista Fly-Ty­ers and Tom Jud­son, POA Gen­eral Man­ager, all spoke at the ded­i­ca­tion of the ren­o­vated fish­ing dock on Loch Lomond. The Fly-Ty­ers helped fi­nance a project to ex­tend the dock so an­glers can reach deeper wa­ter.
