Bella Vista Lutheran Church

Lenten services are at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. Prior to the service a supper is being served at 5 p.m.

There will be a special worship service at 11:30 a.m April 4 for those who are unable to attend a regular worship service. Following the service a luncheon will be served. If anyone has need for transporta­tion to this service or any other worship service, please call the church office at 479-855-0272.

You can listen to the Lutheran Hour each Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on radio station KURM-FM (100.3).

The Celebratio­n Choir will present a spring concert, “The Risen Christ,” at 4 p.m. on April 23.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Friday. They are in need of donations of mens’ and ladies’ deodorant. Reminder, any $5 coupon from Dollar General can be used for adult hygiene products. A container for donations is in the church narthex.

For those unable to attend a Sunday worship service, Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., offers a Saturday service at 5:37 p.m. This is a relaxed, casual, contempora­ry service. Sunday morning worship service is at 8:30 a.m. for the traditiona­l service and at 10:45 a.m. for the Blended service. Presbyteri­an Church

Lenten Soup Suppers continue at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 29, in Fellowship Hall. Following supper and fellowship there will be a brief Lenten presentati­on. Please sign up at the informatio­n center each week. There is a requested $5 donation and a can of soup to share with those in need.

The Chancel Choir has resumed rehearsals at 7 p.m. Wednesday evenings.

The Book Club will meet in the church parlor at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 30. Call 479-876-2547 with any questions. All are welcome.

A Lenten Study group will meet at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 30. Pastor Dennis and Pastor Liz colead the study, “Aging Matters — finding your calling for the rest of your life” by R. Paul Stevens.

The community is invited to worship for a traditiona­l worship service at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 2. Christian Education classes for all ages meet at 8:30 a.m. A nursery attendant is available. New friends are welcome.

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragem­ent of friendly volunteers. The potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the community is always welcome.

Sunday, Growth Group classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10:15 a.m. worship service. Pastor Mark Voll will continue his sermon series titled “Life Applicatio­n from Romans.” This week’s sermon title is “What God’s Law Reveals” with a text of Romans 3:1-31. Infant and toddler nursery and Children’s Church for kids are offered as well.

Tuesday, the Ladies’ Bible Study titled “Prayer: Essential to a Fruitful Christian Life,” written and led by Joanne Morris, will be held at 9 a.m. Women from the community are welcome to attend and a free study guide will be provided. Unity Church of the Ozarks

The prayer team meets at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, April 2. This is a committed group of people who serve by holding in prayer those who request prayer support. If needs arise for any, please leave a message at minister@unityozark­s. org and the Prayer team will be notified.

The Wednesday Evening Group Discussion and Meditation class meets 7-8:30 p.m. Lenten time will be discussed followed by a 20 minute meditation.

Change for Change is collected for NWA Food Pantry. The Sacred Social Action Team continues to create and pass on bags containing various foods, drink and personal needs to the homeless. They continue to volunteer at Samaritan House and entertain at adult care centers. Join if you would like to participat­e.

Highland Christian (Disciples of Christ)

Highland Christian Church meets for worship with communion at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday. Sunday school classes start at 9 a.m., offering four adult studies and “Creative Worship” for youth. Coffee fellowship 10-10:30 a.m. each Sunday.

Unitarian Universali­sts

The Unitarian Universali­sts of Benton County meet at 1110 S.E. Evergreen St. (Little Einstein Montessori School) in Bentonvill­e, near the southeast corner of 14th and J streets. The Sunday service, which begins at 11 a.m., is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday, April 2, features a talk by Issa Abboud, Wal-Mart associate and vice president and founding member of the Bentonvill­e Islamic Center.

Sunday School is available for children through age 15. A Unitarian Universali­sts adaptation of Jerome Berryman’s book "Spirit Play" is the primary resource. The morning is structure based on the Montessori approach. As in Montessori, the key elements are the classroom environmen­t and the teachers. These elements free the children to work at their own pace on their own activities after an initial lesson.

Bella Vista Community Church

Worship is at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings with coffee fellowship before and after the service. Pastor Cody Ragland will be preaching Sunday, April 2. Adult Bible study starts at 8 a.m. During the worship service, a staffed nursery is available as well as children’s worship for ages 4-12.

Growing Through Grief Support Group meets at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6, in the parlor.

Sign your kids up for Summer Arts Camp. The camp runs from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday-Friday, June 19-23, for children entering grades 1-6. Classes include handchimes, guitar, line dancing, card making, watercolor collage, weaving, junk sculpture and more. The cost is $10 per student for the week with scholarshi­ps available for families enrolling multiple children. St. Bernard Church

There will be a Bingo Volunteer Appreciati­on dinner in the Hall at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30.

Caring Friends Grief Share Seminar will meet at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 31, in room 205.

The Knights of Columbus will have their last Lenten Fish Fry on Friday, April 7.

The menu will be catfish, potato salad, coleslaw, hush puppies and dessert. Tickets are required and may be purchased before and after Saturday and Sunday Mass and at the church office. The cost is $10 per person. The doors will be open at 5 p.m. for a social hour and at 6 p.m. serving begins. Come and join.

Bella Vista Baptist Church

New Life Christian Church

New Life Christian Church, 103 Riordan Road, offers three Sunday services at 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. “Identity Crisis: Do You Know Who You Are?” is the title of the current message series. Life Kids’ Programmin­g for children birth through sixth grade is offered at all three times.
