New Wine Ministry

New Wine Ministry meets at 5:30 p.m Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Pastor Vincent Xavier ministers with Ken and Peggy Wagner leading the worship. There will be coffee before and after the service.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

The Celebratio­n Choir will present a spring concert, “The Risen Christ,” at 4 p.m. on April 23.

The Lutheran Hour is at 12:30 p.m. each Sunday on radio station KURM-FM 100.3.

Lenten services are at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. Prior to the service a supper is being served at 5 p.m.

Presbyteri­an Church

Lenten Soup Suppers continue at 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, in Fellowship Hall. Following supper and fellowship there will be a brief Lenten presentati­on. Please sign up at the informatio­n center each week. There is a requested $5 donation and a can of soup to share with those in need.

A Lenten Study group will meet at 2 p.m.on Thursday, April 6. Pastor Dennis and Pastor Liz co-lead the study, “Aging Matters — Finding Your Calling For The Rest of Your Life,” by R. Paul Stevens.

The community is invited to worship at the traditiona­l worship service at 10 a.m. on Palm Sunday, April 9. Holy Communion will be served. Christian education classes for all ages meet at 8:30 a.m. A nursery attendant is available.

Holy Week will be observed with worship on Maundy Thursday at 7 p.m. April 13, and worship on Good Friday at 7 p.m. April 14. Easter Sunday will be celebrated on April 16 with a 10 a.m. traditiona­l worship service. The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be served at all the worship services during Holy Week. Village Bible Church

The Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, April 5. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragem­ent of friendly volunteers.

A potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the community is always welcome. At 6:30 p.m. there will be singing, devotions and prayer in the worship center. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available.

Growth Group classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10:15 a.m. class Sunday, April 9. Worship Service. The community is warmly welcomed. Pastor Mark Voll’s sermon title is “Sorrow that Turns to Joy” with a text of John 16:16-33.

A men’s Bible study will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, and men from the community are always welcome. A ladies’ KniT-Together ministry and the White Cross Women’s Mission ministry also meet at 7 p.m. The ladies enjoy informal fellowship while working on projects that benefit needy children and adults in our area as well as a hospital in Congo.

Good Friday worship service, with communion, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 14.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

Standing in Peace meets at 12:15 Sunday, April 5, in the sanctuary holding a vision for peace for the world.

An advanced course in Prosperity Consciousn­ess Building begins Wednesday, April 19, 7-8:30 p.m. This class is designed to help identify and change limited beliefs about abundance, happiness, success and living in a greater harmony with spiritual law.

Change for Change is collected for NWA Food Pantry. The Sacred Social Action Team continues to create and pass on bags containing various foods, drink and personal needs to the homeless. They continue to volunteer at Samaritan House and entertain at adult care centers. Join if you would like to participat­e.

Bella Vista Community Church

Lenten Meditation­s ends Wednesday, April 5. St. Bernard Church

First United Methodist Church

The community pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt will be held Saturday, April 8. The pancake breakfast is 8:30-10 a.m. Donations are accepted. There is a 9 a.m. scavenger hunt for fourththro­ugh sixth-graders followed by a 9:30 a.m. egg hunt for three years and younger in the atrium. At 9:45 a.m. there will be a pre-k and K egg hunt in the playground area and first- through third-graders egg hunt outside the playground area.

Sunday, April 9, a gospel concert will be held at 6 p.m. featuring students from various ensembles from the University of Arkansas Music Department. This is presented by the Barbara Mashburn Scholarshi­p Foundation.

Community Easter Sunrise Service will be held at Metfield Clubhouse at 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 16.

Order an Easter Lily in honor or memory of a loved one to help decorate the church for Easter week. The plants are $13 and may be taken home after the last Easter service.

Midweek Manna is held each Wednesday night beginning with a fellowship supper 5:30-6:15 p.m. Suggested donation is $5 per adult, $3 for children under 10, and family maximum is $15. Small group study sessions and small craft and activity groups meet from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.

Classes on the agenda are: Our United Methodist Footsteps, Knitting for the Soul (beginners to experts welcome), Women’s Bible Study, The Bible — the mini-series, Coloring Your Way to Calm and UMW Crafts. Living Single with Confidence has several topics in the next weeks. Bella Vista, My Hometown! will resume April 19 with a program about the trails in Bella Vista and April 26 there will be a two-mile hike around the trails.

United Lutheran Church

The “Small Catechism” Supper Church every Wednesday ends April 5. Supper begins at 6 p.m. and Service begins at 6:25 p.m. Sign up sheets to attend the suppers are located in the Narthex.

The Piecemaker­s are joining the World Relief’s Basket of Promise campaign. Each week the church collects different items used to assemble personal care kits for people around the world. This week’s needs are one metal nail clippers.

Don’t forget the Bake-less Bake sale. Gifts may be placed in the pink cake located in the Narthex.

The Breakfast Club meets at 8 a.m. April 10. The speaker will be Tommy Lee, POA Director of Business Developmen­t. There will be a devotion by Harvey Klitzke.

The annual Easter egg hunt will be held around 9:30 a.m. between services. Candy donations to fill the eggs are greatly appreciate­d, and be placed in a box by the front office.

Bella Vista Nazarene Church

The Wright family will be ministerin­g in music and word at the Church of the Nazarene in Bella Vista on April 8-9.

The Wrights sing, play instrument­s, preach and share the message of Jesus.

Concert begins at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 8. They will lead the Sunday, April 9, worship service with hymns, gospel songs and contempora­ry worship music. After, they will preach a specific message.
