Concordia to host Spring Fling, May 18, to Benefit Village House Adult Day Center

-

Concordia Retirement Community will host a Spring Fling event on May 18 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. All proceeds from the event will go to benefit Bella Vista Adult Day Center, Village House.

Village House is a non-profit 501(c )3 Adult Day Program dedicated to enriching the lives of participants and to providing affordable respite for caregivers. It has been in operation since 1988 and is licensed by the State of Arkansas. Village House is a Dementia Care Center with a Certified Dementia Practitioner, Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) and Life Enrichment Professionals.

“Anyone affected by Alzheimer’s or a related dementia understands the urgent need for respite care for caregivers,” said Paula Sanders, director of sales and marketing at Concordia Retirement. “Village House fills a void for these caregivers at a very reasonable cost. We are thrilled to partner with them to help raise funds for their expansion.”

The event is free and open to the public. It will be held on the newly developed courtyard at Concordia Retirement. There will be hamburgers and hotdogs, a silent auction and entertainment provided by “Second Wind”. Also on-site will be area business vendor booths for attendees to visit. “Please come by and help support Village House,” remarked Sara Scott, Interim Executive Director at Village House. “We are hopeful for what this event can bring in its first year and many more to come!”

If you would like to attend the event, please RSVP by calling Concordia Retirement at (479) 855-3714.
