The Garden Club of Rogers

The Garden Club of Rogers 42nd annual Plant Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 22, at 1902 N. Dixieland Road, Rogers. Hundreds of plants of all sizes and varieties are for sale at terrific prices. Many master gardeners have dug these from their own gardens and will be on hand to help with any questions.

Hill ’N Dale Hiking Club

Hill ’N Dale Hiking Club of Bella Vista will hike west of Fayettevil­le on the Lakeside Trail at Lake Wedington on Thursday, April 20. This will be 3.5 miles of easy hiking. Meet at the upper-level parking area of Harps in Bella Vista for 9 a.m. departure. Carpool to the park entrance station off of AR 16. Nonmembers are invited. Bella Vista Garden Club

Bella Vista Garden Club will meet Wednesday, April 26, at the United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road Bella Vista. A social gathering at 11 a.m. will be followed by a meeting at 11:30 a.m. and the First Ever Meatloaf Cook-off.

The program, Growing and Cooking with Culinary Herbs, will be presented by club member Dagmar Roeder. In addition, Marion Heath and Missy Stratton will discuss herbs.

Ozark Hill Hikers

Who wants cookies? The Ozark Hill Hikers, affiliated with the American Volkssport Associatio­n, invite all interested walkers and cookie lovers to our next meeting to plan for upcoming walk events. Our next event will be a three-state walk weekend on April 22-23.

We will meet at the Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd. at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18. To enter the best cookie contest and compete for prizes, bring your favorite homemade cookies.

Woodcarver­s Club

The Woodcarver­s Club meets Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m. at Riordan Hall. Guests are welcome and new members are accepted for a nominal yearly fee. Bella Vista has some very talented carvers and wood burners willing to teach anyone the art of carving or wood burning. The group is a nonprofit organizati­on.

The Bella Vista Woodcarver­s Club is having an Artistry in Wood Show, on Saturday, July, 15. Come and see the imaginatio­n and creativity of local woodcarver­s, wood turners, pyrographe­rs (wood burning). There will be soap carving for kids. Free admission and door prizes.

The show is at Bella Vista Assembly of God Church from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., 1771 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, across from the Post Office in the Highlands.

Kingsdale Squares

The Kingsdale Squares will dance at 7 p.m., Monday, April 24, at Riordan Hall. There will be a mainstream workshop at 6:30 p.m. prior to the dance. Johnny Eubanks will be the caller.

Sunrise Rotary Club

The Bella Vista Sunrise Rotary club has a breakfast meeting every Wednesday at 7 a.m. at the Concordia Main Building, 1 Concordia Drive, Bella Vista. Guests are welcome.

Kansas Sunflower Club

The Sunflowers will meet at 11 a. m., Monday, April 24, at the Highland Christian Church at 1500 Forest Hills Blvd. Bingo will be played, and a potential prize should be brought by each contestant. There will be $ 3 pizza and drinks available. Please bring along a salad or dessert of choice.

Meetings are the fourth Monday of each month. There are no dues. All former Kansas residents are welcome.

Bella Vista Women’s Chorus

Love to sing? Bella Vista Women’s Chorus invites singers from the area to join them. All are welcome with no tryouts or experience needed. The chorus performs classical, pop, folk and show tunes for local clubs and events. Rehearsals are at 12:45 p.m. Mondays in the music room of Bella Vista First United Methodist Church.

Perfect Harmony Women’s Barbershop Chorus meets from 4 to 5:30 p.m. every Monday in the choir room of the United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista. No previous experience or tryouts are required. Join this chorus for a fun and rewarding genre of singing.

Pride of the Ozarks Barbershop Chorus

Pride of the Ozarks Chorus will meet at 7 p.m. Thursdays at Arkansas Arts Academy High School, 506 W. Poplar St. in Rogers. Pride of the Ozarks is a member of the Society for the preservati­on and encouragem­ent of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America, also known as the Barbershop Harmony Society. Pride of the Ozarks is an all-male a Capella singing organizati­on which enriches lives through singing. All male singers of good character are welcome to join.
