Bella Vista Lutheran Church

The Lutheran Hour is broadcast every Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on radio station KURM-FM (100.3).

“Dinner and a Movie” will be on April 19 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. A child friendly meal and a movie for children 3 years old through sixth grade.

The Sonday Riders meets every second and fourth Sunday. This is a group of two- and three-wheeled motorcycle riders. Call Garry Raymond at 815-474-5301 for informatio­n.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Organizers are asking for donations of toilet tissue, paper towels or the funds to purchase these items. A container for donations is in the church narthex.

If you are unable to attend a Sunday morning worship service, Bella Vista Lutheran Church offers a Saturday night service at 5:37 p.m. This is a relaxed, casual, contempora­ry worship experience.

Men’s Golf Fellowship’s Chapter

Men’s Golf Fellowship’s NWA Chapter announced its 2017 monthly speaker series with the first meeting to be a dinner meet- ing at Pinnacle Country Club at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 21. U.S. Sen. John Boozman will be the guest speaker at this kickoff meeting, and spouses/guests are encouraged to attend. Men’s Golf Fellowship creates awareness and opportunit­ies for fellowship, and growth with friends who have made Christ a central part of their personal and profession­al lives. This is accomplish­ed through breakfast meetings, discussion groups, and other fellowship venues. The motto, Growing in Faith with Golf Friends, captures the mission. Men’s Golf Fellowship’s NWA-Chapter was formed in 2016 to help address the spiritual needs of golf friends in Northwest Arkansas.

Presbyteri­an Church

A Lenten Study group will meet at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 20. Pastor Dennis and Pastor Liz co-lead the study, “Aging Matters — finding your calling for the rest of your life,” by R. Paul Stevens.

Dinner Church will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, in Fellowship Hall. An informal worship service will be followed by dinner together. Care & Share of Gravette will have their trailer in the church parking lot all day on May 1 and until noon on May 2. Gather gently used items for donation.

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, April 19, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragem­ent of friendly volunteers. A potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the community is always welcome. At 6:30 p.m. there will be singing, devotions and prayer in the Worship Center. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available.

Growth Group classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10:15 a.m Worship Service on Sunday, April 23. The community is welcomed. Pastor Mark Voll will continue his sermon series titled “Life Applicatio­n from Romans.” This week’s sermon title is “Life In the Spirit” with a text of Romans 8:1-17.

A men’s Bible study will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, and men from the community are always welcome. A ladies’ KniTTogeth­er ministry and the White Cross Women’s Mission ministry also meet at 7 p.m. The ladies enjoy informal fellowship while working on projects that benefit needy children and adults in the area as well as a hospital in Congo. This too, is open to any ladies who would like to come and learn more about it.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

Unitarian Universali­sts

The Unitarian Universali­sts of Benton County meet at 1110 S.E. Evergreen St. (Little Einstein Montessori School) in Bentonvill­e, near the southeast corner of S.E. 14th and J streets. The Sunday service, which begins at 11 a.m., is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Sunday, April 23, features UUBC’s annual World Cafe, a vehicle for congregati­onal input into programs and practies.

Sunday School is available for children with a Unitarian Universali­st adaptation of Jerome Berryman’s book, “Spirit Play,” as the primary resource. The morning structure is based on the Montessori approach. As in Montessori, the key elements are the classroom environmen­t and the teachers. These elements free the children to work at their own pace on their own activities after an initial lesson.

Bella Vista Community Church

Join us for worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings with coffee fellowship before and after the service. Pastor Jeff Reed will be preaching Sunday, April 23. Adult Bible study starts at 8 a.m. During the worship service, a staffed nursery is available as well as children’s worship for ages 4-12.

Sign your kids up for Summer Arts Camp. The camp runs Monday-Friday, June 19-23, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. for children entering grades 1-6. Classes include hand chimes, guitar, line dancing, card making, watercolor collage, weaving, junk sculpture, and more. The cost is $10 per student for the week with scholarshi­ps available for families enrolling multiple children. First United Methodist Church

United Methodist Men will hold the semi-annual Pancake Breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m on Friday, May 5. The cost is $6, with children 5 and under eating free. All-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage or ham, applesauce and drink will be served. Eat breakfast before you hit the craft fairs.

Men’s Emmaus meets each Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Room 22.

The Bella Vista Women’s Chorus meets each Monday from 12:45 to 3 p.m. in the church Music Room. This group performs a variety of music in concerts throughout the year, and is open to any woman in the community who enjoys singing.

The Bella Vista Men’s Chorus meets each Monday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Music Room. This group is open to any man in the community who enjoys singing. The Men’s Chorus performs a variety of music concerts throughout the year.

Midweek Manna is held each Wednesday night, beginning with a fellowship supper starting at 5:30 until 6:15 p.m. Suggested donation is $5 an adult, $3 for children under 10, and family maximum is $15. Small group study sessions and small craft and activity groups meet from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Classes run through April 26. A MidWeek Manna Celebratio­n is on May 3 when we come together for a meal and to talk about what we would like to have offered for the fall classes.

Bella Vista, My Hometown! will resume April 19 with a program about the trails in Bella Vista.

Bazaar Craft Workshops meets from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday and will continue meeting every Thursday until the Oct. 7 Bazaar. Bring a sack lunch along if you can stay past the noon hour and/or a snack to share. This will be a great time for meeting new friends and sharing your crafty talents.

New Life Christian Church

An incredible journey though the entire Bible begins on Sunday, April 23, at all three Sunday services. Every person will receive a free hard cover copy of the book “The Story” during this series. New Life Kids’ Programmin­g is available at all three services.
