Allen’s provides quality foods from local producers
Allen’s Food Market in Bella Vista seeks to separate itself from the competition by providing excellent customer service, making a strong commitment to local producers and offering a huge selection of quality foods.
Store manager Steve Morrow has more than 40 years of experience in the grocery business and said Allen’s is meeting each of those goals daily.
The store opened in 1999 and will celebrate its 18th snniver-sary on June 12.
Morrow stocks the store with local farm-to-store produce, grown by local farmers, this time of the year. He receives regular shipments of strawberries, apples, peaches, green beans, sweet potatoes, squash, and much more.
“We use farmers from Pea Ridge, Maysville, Seligman, Springdale and places all around Northwest Arkansas,” Morrow said. “We absolutely love to deal with locals and get direct from farm to store.”
Staff members also enjoy strong relationships with each other, as well as a huge following of customers, as evidenced by responses on social media.
Mary Morris Stewart of Bella Vista said she loves the fresh produce and friendly atmosphere.
“Allen’s is the best grocery store in the area — they’re top notch in customer service, they don’t try to sell me something I don’t need, all of their products are top quality and their staff are friends,” she said. “I wouldn’t shop anywhere else.”
“I love to shop at Allen’s,” said Andrea Rogers. “Excellent service, impeccable offerings, marvelous staff, and I look forward to and enjoy every visit.”
Morrow is also quick to point out that Allen’s has the “best meat and specialty deli around.”
“Our meat department manager, Rick, has more than 40 years of experience and he and his crew will happily serve you until 7 p.m., every night,” he said. “All of our beef is run through our 288-tooth tenderizer, assuring you get the most tender steaks and roasts, and we grind our meats fresh daily from USDA Choice whole muscle beef.”
Along with an impressive selection of fresh produce and specialty cheeses, Allen’s features a wide assortment of natural, organic and gluten-free foods.
The store’s Facebook page offers contests, giveaways and daily specials, while more information about the store can be found at allensfoods.com. Morrow said that above all else, Allen’s strives to provide a fun shopping atmosphere in which employees and guests consistently smile.
Allen’s is located at 60 Sugar Creek Center. They can be reached by telephone at (479) 876-6190.
