Bella Vista Women’s Golf Club

It’s not too late to join the Bella Vista Women’s Golf Club. This is an 18-hole league play­ing on Thurs­days. Dues are half off. Pay only $25 for the pro­rated yearly mem­ber­ship for the re­main­ing sea­son. Pay­ing mem­ber­ship in­cludes par­tic­i­pa­tion in reg­u­lar play days, club tour­na­ments, club meet­ings and vot­ing mem­ber­ship. There’s still a lot of golf left, so don’t miss out on the fun. Women’s Five-Hole Golf Meet ’N Greet

Any ladies in­ter­ested in a no pres­sure (ca­sual, with no hand­i­cap) golf league are in­vited to play at Brit­tany Golf Course on Mon­days. The score is kept for the first five holes, then most con­tinue on for the nine holes. Both rid­ing carts and pull carts are avail­able. St. Bernard Ladies Golf League

This group is look­ing for women in­ter­ested in join­ing a Wed­nes­day golf league. They have a friendly, com­pet­i­tive 18-hole group and a so­cial nine-hole group. The sea­son is through Oc­to­ber, which in­cludes a weekly $1 in­di­vid­ual or team event, a fun Guest Day and an awards ban­quet. Oldies Golf Group seeks mem­bers

Women’s Nine-Hole Golf As­so­ci­a­tion

The Bella Vista Women’s Nine­Hole Golf As­so­ci­a­tion is ac­cept­ing ap­pli­ca­tions for the 2017 golf sea­son. Golf rounds are played on Mon­day morn­ings through Oct. 23 on Kingswood and Berks­dale golf cour­ses. Mem­bers sign up by Tues­day to play the fol­low­ing Mon­day with four flights set by mem­bers’ hand­i­caps.

Mem­ber­ship dues are $25 plus $5.50 hand­i­cap fee and an op­tional $2 for hole-in-one. Ap­pli­ca­tions are avail­able in the Kings­dale pro shop and on the bvv9wga.com web­site.

Men’s Nine-Hole Golf As­so­ci­a­tion

The Bella Vista Men’s Nine­Hole Golf As­so­ci­a­tion is ac­cept­ing ap­pli­ca­tions for new and past mem­bers for the up­com­ing 2017 sea­son. They play on Wed­nes­day morn­ings, through Oc­to­ber, with re­served tee times and four hand­i­capped flights on the Berks­dale and Kingswood cour­ses. Ban­quets are held in the spring and fall. Golf As­so­ci­a­tion tak­ing ap­pli­ca­tions

The Men’s Golf As­so­ci­a­tion is now ac­cept­ing new mem­bers to join its 2017 Tues­day golf league. The MGA was es­tab­lished in 1972 and is the largest con­tin­u­ing golf group in Bella Vista. New for 2017, the MGA is open to POA mem­bers and non­mem­bers. The men’s league ends the last Tues­day in Oc­to­ber. The MGA of­fers an or­ga­nized for­mat for golfers of all ages, abil­i­ties and hand­i­caps, easy weekly on­line sign-up, weekly prize pay­outs and holein-one pool (in­cluded with $65 dues), a Play­ers Cup com­pe­ti­tion and sup­port for lo­cal char­i­ties. Cham­ber Chal­lenge Golf Scram­ble

It’s time to reg­is­ter your team for the Cham­ber Chal­lenge Golf Scram­ble. The 2017 Cham­ber Chal­lenge Golf Scram­ble will take place on Fri­day, Aug. 18, at the Bella Vista Coun­try Club Golf Course.

This is a fun op­por­tu­nity to en­gage with oth­ers in the com­mu­nity, pro­mote your busi­ness and en­cour­age eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment of the area through net­work­ing. In ad­di­tion to golf, there are also var­i­ous spon­sor­ship pack­ages avail­able of­fer­ing you the op­por­tu­nity to pro­mote ex­po­sure for your brand in a re­laxed en­vi­ron­ment. This year, the cham­ber will team up with and give a por­tion of the pro­ceeds to NWA Food Bank. Ac­cord­ing to Feed­ing Amer­ica, more than 70,000 peo­ple in north­west Arkansas are strug­gling with food in­se­cu­rity.

Do­na­tions made to the NWA Food Bank are stored, sorted and then pro­vided to peo­ple in need at food pantries, soup kitchens, youth pro­grams, se­nior cen­ters, schools, and emer­gency shel­ters. To learn more about spon­sor­ship op­por­tu­ni­ties, call the Cham­ber at 479-273-2841.

Men’s Golf Fel­low­ship

Men’s Golf Fel­low­ship cre­ates aware­ness and op­por­tu­ni­ties for fel­low­ship, and growth with friends who have made Christ a cen­tral part of their per­sonal and pro­fes­sional lives. This is ac­com­plished through break­fast meet­ings, dis­cus­sion groups, and other fel­low­ship venues. Our motto, Grow­ing in Faith with Golf Friends, cap­tures our mis­sion. Men’s Golf Fel­low­ship’s NWA-Chap­ter was formed in 2016 to help ad­dress the spir­i­tual needs of golf friends in North­west Arkansas.

Cour­tesy Van driv­ers needed

The Bella Vista Cour­tesy Van pro­vides cour­tesy trans­porta­tion for those in the com­mu­nity who can no longer drive due to age and/or health. It is an all-vol­un­teer ser­vice op­er­at­ing five days a week with two to three vans trans­port­ing Bella Vis­tans for med­i­cal ap­point­ments, shop­ping and per­sonal ser­vices. The Cour­tesy Van is in ur­gent need for men or women driv­ers who are younger than 77 and can give a cou­ple of days of their time a month. The area of ser­vice is Bella Vista, Jane Wal­mart, Ben­tonville and Rogers. If in­ter­ested in vol­un­teer­ing, con­tact Bill Puskas at 402-981-1571.
