Bella Vista Baptist Church

Sunday morning schedule — contempora­ry worship is at 8:30 a.m.; Bible study/Sunday school at 9:45 a.m.; traditiona­l worship at 11 a.m. Sunday evening service is at 5 p.m. in the old sanctuary.

Men’s Prayer Breakfast is every Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. The group is currently studying the Book of Daniel.

Children’s Summer Program is 6-8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Join each week to learn what the Bible has to say about “Not Giving Up” in the story of Nehemiah.

Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting Service starts at 6 p.m. now through the summer months in the old sanctuary. Youth activities begin at 6 p.m.

The Senior Adult Ministries hosts ice cream and a movie the fourth Friday of the month at 6:30 p.m. All adults are welcome.

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, July 26, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragem­ent of our friendly volunteers. A potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the community is always welcome. At 6:30 p.m. there will be singing, devotions and prayer in the Worship Center. The community is always welcome. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available.

Sunday, July 30, Sunday School classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10:15 a.m. worship service. Andrew Goff, Village Bible Church director of Worship and Disciplesh­ip, will bring the message for the worship service. Infant and toddler nursery and Children’s Church for kids are offered as well, and the community is always warmly welcomed.

Tuesday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m., a men’s Bible study titled “The Nations in Prophecy” will meet in the Fellowship Hall and men from the community are always welcome.

A ladies’ KniTTogeth­er ministry and the White Cross Women’s Mission ministry also meet at 7 p.m. The ladies enjoy informal fellowship while working on projects that benefit needy children and adults in our area as well as a hospital in Congo. These are open to any ladies who would like to come and learn more about these ministries.

Highlands Church

St. Theodore Episcopal Church

Join the congregati­on for worship and celebratio­n of the Holy Eucharist on Sunday morning at St. Theodore. There are two services of the Holy Eucharist. Rite I is at 8 a.m. and Rite II at 10:30 a.m. Coffee fellowship takes place after the 10:30 a.m. service.

St. Bernard Catholic Church

“A Taste of Faith” dinner is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12. This dinner is to honor and support the Diocese of Little Rock Seminarian­s. This event provides the opportunit­y to make a financial contributi­on to help pay the costs of seminarian education and to acknowledg­e God’s blessings on the diocese. New Wine Ministry

New Wine Ministry meets every Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Pastor Vincent Xavier ministers the Word, with Ken and Peggy Wagner leading the worship. There will be coffee fellowship before and after each service.

A Bible study is held in Decatur at 7 p.m. every Wednesday. Call for location.

Pastor Patricia Xavier leads a study on spiritual warfare and deliveranc­e held at 7 p.m. Thursdays at the same location. The study is based on her book “Deliveranc­e — The Christian’s Bill of Rights.”

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

The Lutheran Hour is broadcast every Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on radio station KURM-FM (100.3) and KURM-AM (790).

The Fellowship Team is asking for help in providing school supplies for Cooper Elementary School and Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. The donation and a copy of the wish list is in the church narthex. The district is also asking for help for the Thomas Jefferson clothing drive and asking for children’s sizes 10-12 medium and 14-16 large and 18-20 X-large.

The Men’s Bible class meets on Mondays at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Please park in the rear parking lot and enter the lower level.

GriefShare classes will begin on Thursday, Aug. 24, at 3 p.m. in the church library.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and they are requesting shampoo, deodorant and body wash and the food item is mashed potatoes. A container for your donations is in the church narthex.

On Sunday, July 30, at 4:30 p.m., there will be a special congregati­onal potluck and cookout in honor of our First Responders in Bella Vista, thanking them for all that they do in our community. Hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages also salads, vegetables and desserts will be provided.

Unitarian Universali­sts

In August, UUBC services at Little Einstein Montessori School will be held only on Aug. 13.

Sunday School is available for children with a Unitarian Universali­st adaptation of Jerome Berryman’s book, “Spirit Play” as the primary resource. We structure the morning based on the Montessori approach. As in Montessori, the key elements are the classroom environmen­t and the teachers. These elements free the children to work at their own pace on their own activities after an initial lesson.

Highland Christian Church

Highland Christian Church — The Happening Place — meets for worship with communion at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday. Sunday school classes start at 9 a.m. offering three adult studies and “Creative Worship” for youth. Coffee fellowship is 10-10:30 a.m.

There will be a trip to Branson to Sight and Sound Theatre to see “Moses.” This trip is planned for Tuesday, Sept. 12. The bus will leave the church at 8 a.m., lunch at Montana Mikes at 11 a.m., the backstage tour at 1 p.m. and the Moses production is at 3:30 p.m. Dinner is at McFarland’s at 6:30 p.m., and arrival back at the church will be by 9:30 p.m.

Worship is at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings with coffee fellowship before and after the service. Pastor Jeff Reed will be preaching Sunday, July 30. During the worship service, a staffed nursery is available as well as children’s worship for ages 4-12.

New Life Christian Church

The Chancel choir and Chancel Hanbell choir both resume rehearsals after a summer hiatus, on Wednesday, Aug. 2.
