Monday, July 24
6:44 a.m. Police investigated several damaged mailboxes on Leicester Drive.
10:51 a.m. James Yazinsky, 39, was arrested when police responded to a burglary-in-progress call on Timbercrest Lane. Yazinksy was charged with third degree stalking and residential burglary.
4:07 p.m. Joseph Nichols, 35, was arrested on out-of-town warrants and charged with careless driving, driving without proof of insurance, driving without a license and felony possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 71.
7:22 p.m. Firefighters responded to a stove fire on Nantucket Drive.
8:41 p.m. Police asked people to stop drinking at the Lake Avalon dam.
10:54 p.m. Andoni Gonzalez, 19, was arrested and charged with public intoxication and obstructing government operations after a traffic stop near the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and Trafalgar Road.
Tuesday, July 25
1:47 a.m. People were being loud at the Lake Avalon Park. Police found juveniles at the location and took them to their guardians.
11:38 a.m. A residential intrusion alarm was accidentally triggered by Townhouse Association landscapers on Norwood Drive.
12:01 p.m. A man reportedly yelled at someone and banged on their car window at the rest area off U.S. Highway 71.
12:30 p.m. Firefighters responded to an oven fire on Merritt Drive. The fire was out when they arrived, according to the dispatch report, and the firefighters helped ventilate the structure.
12:30 p.m. A confederate flag was reportedly hung from the Veterans Wall on Veterans Way. Police removed the flag and set up extra patrols in the area.
1:22 p.m. A Pawle Drive resident reported neighbors were dumping yard debris on their property and claiming it was common property.
9:56 p.m. Police escorted a library employee while they emptied trash. They were concerned, according to the dispatch report, because it was pitch black outside.
10:30 p.m. Loud people were reported on the Lake Avalon dam.
Wednesday, July 26
11:03 a.m. A Tanyard Lane resident received a fraudulent phone call. The caller claimed they were raising funds for police, according to the dispatch report.
1:53 p.m. Donnie Case, 44, was arrested on out-of-town warrants during a traffic stop at the Sugar Creek Cinema. According to the dispatch report, Case initially gave officers a false name.
Thursday, July 27
11:18 a.m. Police checked on juveniles who were reportedly sliding down the Tanyard Creek waterfall.
3:26 p.m. Police responded to a stolen boat call on Loch Lomond, near Evanton Drive, and found that the people who took it were there to pick up a boat and given the wrong dock number. The boat was returned.
Friday, July 28
9:46 a.m. A vehicle was broken into on Buckingham Drive. Police assigned extra patrols to the area.
9:15 p.m. Police found a bicycle at Metfield Park. Unable to locate an owner, officers took it back to the department for safekeeping.
11:47 p.m. Donovan Harris, 19, was arrested and charged with public intoxication and minor in possession near the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and Riordan Road.
Saturday, July 29
12:41 a.m. Jon Capps, 18, was arrested and charged with felony possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia when police spotted vehicles parked at the Lake Avalon dam.
5:47 a.m. An Amesbury Drive resident reported their blue Ford Explorer stolen.
3:36 p.m. James Thuma, 29, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on U.S. Highway 71 after Bella Vista Police heard from State Police that a possible drunk driver was heading into the city.
Sunday, July 30
4:04 a.m. A Pamona Drive resident was home alone and believed someone was using their garden hose. Police could not find evidence of the hose being turned on.
10:16 a.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Arvest Bank at Sugar Creek Center. Police checked on the light gray van and found the bank’s cleaning crew.
9:19 p.m. Gary Willey, 59, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after he was involved in a motorcycle accident near the intersection of Dillow Drive and Harrington Lane.
11:24 p.m. A Tibberton Circle Drive resident reported hearing what sounded like a wolf or bear near Lake Rayburn.
