Village Bible Church
Wednesday, Aug. 16, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in our area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of our friendly volunteers. A potluck fellowship dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the community is welcome to join us. At 6:30 p.m. there will be singing, devotions and prayer in the Worship Center. The community is always welcome. Nursery for infants and toddlers is available.
Sunday, Aug. 20, Sunday School classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m. followed by the 10:15 a.m. worship service. Pastor Mark Voll will continue his sermon series titled “Life Application from Romans.” This week’s sermon title is “Christian Living: Common Ground in Christ” with a text of Romans 15:1-13. Infant and toddler nursery and Children’s Church for kids are offered as well.
Tuesday, Aug. 22, at 7 p.m. a men’s Bible study titled "The Nations in Prophecy" will meet in the Fellowship Hall and men from the community are always welcome. A ladies’ KniTTogether ministry and the White Cross Women’s Mission ministry also meet at 7 p.m. The ladies enjoy informal fellowship while working on projects that benefit needy children and adults in our area as well as a hospital in Congo. Any ladies from the community are welcome to come and learn more about these ministries.

Bella Vista Baptist Church
Sunday morning schedule: Contemporary worship is at 8:30 a.m.; Bible study/Sunday school at 9:45 a.m.; traditional worship at 11 a.m. The Sunday evening service is at 5 p.m. in the old sanctuary.

St. Theodore Episcopal Church
Join the congregation for worship and celebration of the Holy Eucharist on Sunday morning at St. Theodore. There are two services of the Holy Eucharist. Rite I is at 8 a.m. and Rite II at 10:30 a.m. Coffee fellowship takes place after the 10:30 a.m. service.

St. Bernard Catholic Church
Bingo will be held on Thursday, Aug. 17, in the parish hall. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. Jackpot is at $1,000.
On Friday, Aug. 18, at 9 a.m. Our Lady of Refuge Prayer group will meet in the chapel and the Mah Jongg group will meet in the hall.
Bunko will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 21, in the parish hall.
Crafts will be held at 8 a.m. in the hall on Tuesday, Aug. 22. All are welcome.
The supplies in our food pantry are running low and it is time to restock our shelves. Some of the items that are needed are macaroni and cheese, canned meats, canned vegetables and fruit, spaghetti and spaghetti sauce, and Hamburger Helper. Please drop off your donations in the kitchen.
Project Rachel will be beginning a new session in September. This lasts 11 weeks, with small groups of six to eight. Groups will be formed in Little Rock, Rogers/Springdale and Hot Springs areas. New Wine Ministry
New Wine Ministry meets every Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Pastor Vincent Xavier ministers the Word, with Ken and Peggy Wagner leading the worship. There will be coffee fellowship before and after each service.

On Aug. 20, a new Bible study class will start in the Chapel Meeting Room to study “Luther’s Catechism” as the study.
Bella Vista Lutheran Church will be delivering Meals on Wheels during the month of September.

The Fellowship Team is asking for help in providing school supplies for Cooper Elementary School and Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. The district is also asking for help for the Thomas Jefferson clothing drive and asking for children’s sizes 10-12 medium and 14-16 large and 18-20 X-large.

Unitarian Universalists
Sunday School is available for children with a Unitarian Universalist adaptation of Jerome Berryman’s book, “Spirit Play,” as the primary resource. The morning is structured based on the Montessori approach. The key elements are the classroom environment and the teachers. These elements free the children to work at their own pace on their own activities after an initial lesson.
The Unitarian Universalists of Benton County meet at 1110 S.E. Evergreen St. (Little Einstein Montessori School) in Bentonville near the southeast corner of 14th and J streets. The Sunday service, which begins at 11 a.m., is preceded by coffee and social time beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista
An Adult Study Group will meet in the church parlor on Thursday, Aug. 17 at 9:30 a.m.

New Life Christian Church
"The Story," a chronological journey through the entire Bible, is the current series at New Life Christian Church. Sunday service times are 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. Full service programming for new Life Kids, for children birth-6th grade, is offered during all three services.
All 7th-12th graders are invited to Collide Worship on Wednesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the New Life Student Center. The café opens at 5 p.m.

United Methodist Church

Bazaar Craft Workshops meet on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will continue meeting every Thursday until the Oct. 7 Bazaar.
The chancel choir and chancel handbell choir both resumed rehearsals on Wednesday, Aug. 2, after a summer hiatus.
