Wilma Lout McColm Parsons
Wilma Lou McColm Parsons, 84, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, Aug. 28,
2017, at Concordia Health and Rehab with her loving husband holding her hand.
She was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Monmouth, Kan., to Julia and Earl McColm.
She married Robert D. Parsons on July 6, 1951, in McCune, Kan.
She worked many jobs throughout Girard, Kan. and Bella Vista and spent her life as a homemaker, loving and caring for her family and friends. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Girard and Bella Vista Community Church of Bella Vista.
She is preceded in death by her parents; nine siblings; and a granddaughter.
Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bob” D. Parsons of the home; four daughters, Becky (Pat) Ziegler of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Anita (Paul) Dyson of St. Petersburg, Fla., Deanna Parsons of Osawatomie, Kan., and Kaye (Rodger) Long of Frontenac, Kan; and a brother, Merle Gene McColm of McCune, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life was held at Bella Vista Community Church on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017, with Dr. Jeff Reed.
Graveside services were held Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at McCune Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 210 N. Walton Blvd, No. 25, Bentonville AR 72712.
