Courtesy Van drivers needed
The Bella Vista Courtesy Van provides courtesy transportation for those in the community who can no longer drive due to age and/or health. It is an all-volunteer service operating five days a week with two to three vans transporting Bella Vistans for medical appointments, shopping and personal services. The Courtesy Van is in urgent need for men or women drivers who are younger than 77 and can give a couple of days of their time each month. The area of service is Bella Vista, Jane-Walmart, Bentonville and Rogers. If interested in volunteering, contact Bill Puskas at 402981-1571.
Women’s Five-Hole Golf
Any ladies interested in a no-pressure (casual, with no handicap) golf league are invited to play at Brittany Golf Course on Mondays. The score is kept for the first five holes, then most continue on for the nine holes. Both riding carts and pull carts are available. St. Bernard Ladies Golf League
This group is looking for women interested in joining a Wednesday golf league. It offers a friendly, competitive 18-hole group and a social nine-hole group. Oldies Golf Group Seeks Members

Arkansas Veterans Village First Annual Tournament
The Arkansas Veterans Village presents their first annual golf tournament, Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Kingswood and Country Club golf courses in Bella Vista to raise money to build homes for homeless vets. The event is open to the public. The format is a four-person scramble, with coffee and donuts at 7 a.m., followed by an 8 a.m. shotgun start, and awards and lunch at Riordan Hall at 1 p.m. The entry fee is $400 per team, $100 per person. Entry fee includes prizes and lunch. Flights will be determined the day of the tournament. Mail entry form and check payable to Arkansas Veteran Village, P.O. Box 332, Garfield, AR 72732.
