UFOs II

Ever wondered about life on other worlds? Curious about UFOs? Just interested in learning new things? Then this program is for you. Join us at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, to learn from an expert about some of the major cases involving extraterrestrials. Discussion will include government disinformation methods on UFOs and how they’ve worked, what our planet would be like if the presence of extraterrestrials were disclosed, the Paradigm Research Group and their efforts at disclosure through national lobbying, and more. Ages 16 and up.

Sunday afternoon book review

Join us for our fall Sunday Afternoon Book Review. Jean Justice will be here at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, to review the book, When Books Went to War: The Stories that Helped Us Win World War II, by Molly Guptill Manning. Sunday Afternoon Book Reviews happen once every season with a new presenter and books. This event is a great way to learn about new books and meet other readers.

Call for candy

This will be the 11th year since BVPL began our annual Spooktacular event. This year we are reaching out to our generous community to ask for help providing candy for this growing event. If you are able, just buying a bag or two of candy would be an enormous help, as we put on yet another year of family-friendly fun. We are so fortunate in our community to have such dedicated patrons. Whether your support comes from donations or attending the events we work so diligently on, we appreciate all that you do to support your local library.
