Monday, Oct. 23

11:21 a.m. People on Segways were reportedly going door to door on Dorking Lane. Police discovered the individual­s did have solicitati­on permits.

2:30 p.m. A Fountainha­ll Drive resident called 911 to report seeing either a fox or coyote in the woods. According to the dispatch report, the caller apologized for calling after being informed that coyotes and foxes live in the area.

Tuesday, Oct. 24

11:30 a.m. Firefighte­rs checked on an illegal controlled burn on Kirk Douglas Lane. The individual burning brush was informed of the city's burn policy and put out the fire.

2:10 p.m. A Churchill Drive resident reported his garbage can and mailbox were knocked over. Police determined the mailbox post was dry rotted and the wind knocked it over. Officers put the mailbox back up for the resident.

7:04 p.m. A driver in a blue Subaru was reportedly watching a video on his or her phone and swerving all over the road near the intersecti­on of U.S. Highway 71 and Benton County Road 40.

9:18 p.m. Bella Vista's K9 unit assisted Bentonvill­e police searching two vehicles at the Walmart Neighborho­od Market on Walton Blvd.

Wednesday, Oct. 25

9:36 a.m. A constructi­on site on Minack Lane was reportedly broken into and things were stolen.

1:36 p.m. Rodney O'Brien, 37, was arrested on a felony warrant out of McDonald County for assault in the second degree. O'Brien was spotted looking around houses on Tamworth Circle.

5:51 p.m. Jessica Wegner, 40, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicate­d, drinking in public, reckless driving and use of a handheld device while driving near the intersecti­on of U.S. Highway 71 and Trafalgar Road.

10:29 p.m. Police assisted a Forfar Circle resident who became locked out of his or her home.

Thursday, Oct. 26

12:50 a.m. Brandon Deere, 35, was arrested on a Benton County felony warrant for failure to appear related to two breaking and entering charges during a traffic stop at the All in One gas station. Deere was also charged with obstructio­n and giving a false name after, according to the dispatch report, he told police his name was Joseph Wymam.

8:12 a.m. Someone in a little blue car was reportedly playing loud music while waiting for a bus on Ashton Circle.

1:12 p.m. Firefighte­rs handled a vehicle fire on Grampian Drive. According to the dispatch log, the vehicle rolled into the woods and started smoking when the driver attempted to start the engine again. There was no fire by the time firefighte­rs arrived.

2:55 p.m. Police received a walk-in report of a sign blocking a stop sign near Blowing Springs.

6:59 p.m. A white SUV was reportedly operated without headlights on U.S. Highway 71.

10:04 p.m. Police removed a large bucket from Riordan Road, near Riordan Hall.

Friday, Oct. 27

1:33 a.m. Someone was sleeping in a car at Harps.

3:59 p.m. Mildred Schrieber, 36, was arrested at the Bella Vista Police Department on a warrant for theft of property, a Class A misdemeano­r.

7:24 p.m. A Webb Lane resident came home to find the front door open. Police checked and secured the residence.

Saturday, Oct. 28

8:38 a.m. A Merritt Drive resident reported someone came into the house in the middle of the night, took car keys, wallet and a cell phone and went through a truck in the driveway.

9:43 a.m. Two vehicles were reportedly broken into on Merritt Drive.

1:38 p.m. Police arrested Maurice Moore, 30, and Martha Mckinney, 38, during a traffic stop on Mercy Way. Moore had warrants out of Benton County and Bentonvill­e, and Mckinney had a warrant out of Rogers.

5:49 p.m. Police arrested Stephen Durkin, 50, and charged him with driving while intoxicate­d after checking on a report of a van “all over the road” heading North on U.S. Highway 71.

10:58 p.m. A May Lane resident reported hearing five gunshots.

Sunday, Oct. 29

10:44 a.m. A stop sign was reportedly knocked down near the intersecti­on of Highlands Blvd. and Glasgow Road.

4:00 p.m. A stop sign was reportedly down near the intersecti­on of Gordon Hollow Road and Highlands Blvd.

6:16 p.m. Police checked on a residentia­l intrusion alarm on Wimbledon Way. The home appeared to be fine and police spotted two dogs inside the house.
