Highlands Student Ministry for middle school and high school students is held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sundays.
Two adult Sunday school classes meet every Sunday at 8:15 and 9:30 a.m. in the John classroom.
The 29th annual Cookie Walk will be on Saturday, Dec. 2. This is a Bella Vista tradition. Doors open at 8 a.m. The walk begins at 8:30 a.m. Cinnamon rolls, coffee, sweets, treats, soup-to-go, and handmade crafts are available for purchase all morning to allow shopping while
waiting to walk.
The chancel choir will present its Christmas Cantata at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10. Under the direction of John Matthews, the choir will sing “Festival of Carols,” a musical Christmas celebration for choir and congregation created by David Guthrie. Instrumentalists will include our accompanists Pam Meyer and Jeannine Wagar.
The next blood drive is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, and is organized by our HUMMERS (Highlands United Methodist Men). Photo ID required. Remember to eat well and drink plenty of fluids before giving blood.

New Life Christian Church is a nondenominational Christian Church. Office Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.
New Life Christian Church offers four identical weekend services: Saturday 5 p.m.; Sunday 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. (An ASL certified interpreter is at the 11:30 service each week) New Life Kids’ programming for children, birth to sixth grade is held at all services.

The Martha Garvin Circle of Presbyterian Women collected 198 sweaters to be given to Samaritan Community Center as Christmas gifts for their participants. Hand knitted and crocheted scarves, headbands, hats and gloves were also donated.

Wednesday, Nov. 29, activities — The Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of the friendly volunteers. November through February the 5:30 p.m. Wednesday potluck fellowship meals will be held on the second Wednesday of the month. At 6:30 p.m., all are welcome to prayer, singing and devotions in the Worship Center. A nursery is available.
Sunday, Dec. 3, activities: Sunday school classes are offered for all ages at 9 a.m., followed by the 10:15 a.m. worship service. Pastor Mark Voll’s sermon title will be “The Gift of a New Song,” with a text of Luke 1:39-56. Nursery and Children’s Church are offered.
Tuesday, Dec. 5, activities: at 7 p.m. men’s Bible study on 2 Peter led by Pastor Mark Voll will meet in the fellowship hall. Ladies’ KniTTogether ministry and White Cross Women’s Mission ministry meet at 7 p.m. This informal fellowship works on projects that benefit needy children and adults in the area as well as a hospital in Congo. Ladies from the community are welcome to these ministries.
