Jan. 15

▲ Reserves of blood for patient use are at three-day levels for most types. Area residents are encouraged to donate soon at a CBCO blood drive or donor center to ensure that blood reserves remain constant for area hospital patients. A blood drive is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at the Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista, located at 1880 Forest Hills Blvd.

Through Jan. 31

▲ The Bella Vista Recycling Center is taking (live) Christmas trees after Christmas this year at the center, as well as used wrapping paper. The trees should be put in the marked trailer on-site, and the Fly-Tyers Club will put the trees in Bella Vista lakes for fish habitat. Used wrapping paper should be placed in the newspaper bins.

Feb. 10

▲ Valentine’s Day Dance with The Bella Vista Big Band at Riordan Hall to start at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10. Arrive early for a free dance lesson by Danceandsw­ing. biz at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person at the door and property ownership is not required. Music will include ballroom, swing and Latin. ▲ The AARP Smart Driver course is is four hours and reservatio­ns are required. Cost to AARP members is $15 (membership card and number required). Non-member cost is $20. Class location is at Village Insurance, 2860 Bella Vista Way, Bella Vista. The class is from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Call 479855-3076 for reservatio­ns.
