Barbara Lorraine Widhalm, 82, of Bella Vista died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville.
She was born in Denver, Colo., to Margaret Belle Patten Johnson and Richard Lorraine Musgrove. She grew up in Denver and attended Colorado State University. She married Gerald Dale Widhalm in 1953. She was an American Red Cross volunteer and first aid instructor for 10 years. She was a Cub Scout den mother and coordinator for nine years while raising children. She moved to Bella Vista in 1987 and was the medical records director at Bates Memorial Hospital in Bentonville. She was a member of AARP, NARFE, American Medical Record Association, and St. Bernard Catholic Church and volunteered at the Bella Vista Library for 28 years.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father and husband.
Survivors include three sons, Eric Widhalm (Sue) of Fort Collins, Colo., Jere Widhalm (Thaweeporn) of Gravette, Chuck Widhalm (Carol) of Fairview, Texas; daughter-inlaw, Eva Widhalm of Arlington, Va.; three sisters, Marti Mohr, Dorothy Stevenson, Nancy Mandell; and nine grandchildren.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, One St. Bernard Lane, Bella Vista. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m., with Rosary following, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home. Arrangements were by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
