Bella Vista Community Church

There is a Newcomers’ Orientatio­n at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, in the parlor for anyone interested in learning more about the Community Church.

Bella Vista Men for Christ will host Ken Hatfield, former University of Arkansas head football coach, speaking about “Faith, Football and Foundation” at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, in McKay Hall. Men and women of the community are invited. Call the church office for reservatio­ns. Forest Hills Church welcomes people of all faiths to worship. Pastor, Mark Kirby, will deliver the sermon, “Our Allegiance to Jesus,” from Revelation 19:11-16, at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 21.

Highland Christian Church

The community is invited to meet the new choir director, William Barnett, and join the choir for practice at 4 p.m. each Wednesday.

Disciple Men Fellowship will meet at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16. All are welcome to this fellowship for breakfast and great discussion.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

A free Family Video Game Night will be held at the Bella Vista Lutheran church from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m on Wednesday, Jan. 17. The entire family is welcome, ages 6 and up, for the meal and a night of video games. All children, 4 to 12, are invited to a free “Winter Craft Day” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27. Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista

All women in the Bella Vista community are welcome to The Women’s Book Club which meets the last Thursday of each month. This book club is unique. Instead of the group as a whole reading one specific book, we choose an author, theme or topic and share the book with the rest of the group at the meeting. The theme for Jan. 25 book club is a book with a pronoun in the title. The Feb. 22 meeting theme is a book in a series and the March 29 meeting theme is a book that begins with the letter M. The Women’s Book Club next meets at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, in the church parlor. For more informatio­n, contact the church office 855-2390.

Unitarian Universali­sts

On Jan. 21, the second homily in January’s theme of resistance will be, “For the Long Haul,” written by Rev. Emily Wright-Magoon, Unitarian Universali­st Church of Midland, Texas.

United Lutheran Church

The Senior Circle scheduled at noon on Jan. 23 has been canceled

by Northwest Medical Center because it will no longer host Senior Circle events in the Bella Vista area. For more informatio­n on other Senior Circle programs, call 478-757-4106.

The community is invited to a Bible Study at 8 a.m. on Jan. 24. The discussion will be on the Syrophoeni­cian woman.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

At 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, Elise Cowan presents “The Courage to Imagine.” Following the service, at noon, Chidam Iyer will read some of his original poems from his collection, “Journeys to the Whispering Heart.”

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, Jan. 17, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragem­ent of friendly volunteers.

Pastor Mark Voll’s sermon title will be “A Ministry of Healing,” with a text of Mark 1:21-2:12, on Sunday, Jan. 21.

At 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, a men’s Bible study led by Al Meendering will meet in the Fellowship Hall, and men from the community are always welcome. This is a 12-week video series with discussion following. The study focuses on embracing and defending a biblical life.
