Bella Vista Baptist Church

Bella Vista Baptist Church offers Sunday evening classes. A new series of classes begins Feb. 18 at 5 p.m. Being offered are Sticky Faith in the youth room; Grief Share in Grace Hall; Financial Peace in the conference room; Discover 101 in the sanctuary.

Sticky Faith is a curriculum designed to provide parents with practical ideas to help develop lasting faith in their children. This is an eight-week class; one book per family will be provided.

Grief Share is a 12-week class and offers a caring group of people to share, listen, discuss any of life’s most difficult experience­s.

Financial Peace is a nine-lesson money class with a focus on stepby-step budget creation and how to pay off debt, spend wisely and save for the future.

Discover 101 is an eight-week study in “The Basics” of God’s Word and applying His Word to one’s life.

Bella Vista Community Church

Co-ed Bible Study group meets from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Tuesday in room 8/9. The community is encouraged to join the discussion. The topic is “Know Why You Believe.” Interested parties should contact the church office at 479855-1126.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

Special worship service for those who are unable to attend regular worship will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6. Lunch will be provided following the service. Contact the church if you know of anyone needing transporta­tion to this or any other worship service, at 479855-0272.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations of jelly are requested. A donation container is located in the church narthex.

Forest Hills Church

Forest Hills Church welcomes people of all faiths to worship this Sunday. Pastor Mark Kirby will deliver the sermon, “Walking With Jesus,” from Romans 10:14-15, at 10:45 a.m.

Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista

On Sunday, Jan. 21, the Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista recognized 55 years of ministry for Rev. Joe Tropansky. Ordained on Jan. 25, 1963, at his home church, First United Presbyteri­an Church in DuBois, Penn., he served as a U.S. Army chaplain and a pastor of churches in Pennsylvan­ia, Iowa, Nebraska and North Dakota. Since his retirement in 2001, he has served as part-time pulpit supply in 17 churches in Northwest Arkansas. PCBV members thank Joe and Barb for their years of faithful service.

St. Bernard Catholic Church

The community is welcome to BINGO on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.

St. Bernard invites the community to a series titled “Ten Years Younger, Upgrading Your Life One Step at a Time,” led by a parishione­r and certified health coach. The first session topic will entail how to kick the sugar habit without giving up sweets and will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, in Room 202. There is no cost for the program. Feb. 4: This month’s theme of Earth is introduced with the reading

of a talk titled, “I Am a Denizen of the Earth,” by James C. Leach, senior minister, UU Church of Charlotte, N.C.

United Lutheran Church

The public is invited to Family Art Night at 6 p.m. Feb. 2 to make Valentine’s Day crafts to take home and share with the community. Please RSVP with the church office at 479855-1325 or sign up on the sheet in the narthex of the church.

The United Singles invites everyone to the Games & Snacks event at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 10 in the fellowship hall. Please bring your favorite games and snacks to share with the group.

Ash Wednesday Services will be held at 12:15 and 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 14.

Village Bible Church

Tuesday, Feb. 6, the Ladies’ Bible

Study on Philippian­s, led by Joanne Morris, will be held at 9 a.m. Women from the community are always welcome to attend.

At 7 p.m. a men’s Bible study led by Al Meendering will meet in the Oasis Center at the church. Men from the community are welcome. This is a 12-week video series with discussion following. The study focuses on embracing and defending a Biblical worldview.
