BV Fly Tyers Club sponsors Fly Fishing class

The Bella Vista Fly Tyers Club will sponsor a Basic Fly Fishing Course. The course will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 7, at the Lake Avalon Park Pavilion. Each course student will participat­e in one hour of class instructio­n and one hour of fly casting technique instructio­n and practice.

Cost of the course is $20 for non-club members ($10 of which will cover a year’s club membership dues) and $10 for club members. Students up to 16-years-old can attend the course at no charge. Class size is limited to the first 30-people who sign up and pay the fee. Class will be held rain or shine. Contact David Barfield at 479-553-8194 to enroll and for more informatio­n.

The Bella Vista Fly Tyers Club is a fishing, conservati­on, and service club consisting of approximat­ely 150 members. This group of men and women share a common interest in fishing (both warm and cold-water species) found in the local streams and lakes of Bella Vista. The club also promotes lake conservati­on, recreation­al activities, and conducts service projects throughout NW Arkansas.

The Fly Tyers Club meets every Thursday in Riordan Hall in Bella Vista, beginning at 9 a.m. for a social hour followed by a meeting from 10 to 11 a.m.
