Edmund Joseph Barnoski
Edmund Joseph Barnoski, 90, of Bella Vista, Ark. died April 24, 2018.
He was born Jan. 26, 1928, to Roman Barnoski and Catherine (Konesca) Barnoski in Fond du Lac, Wis. He moved to Bella Vista in 1990 and worked as a groundskeeper for the POA area golf courses. He drove an 18-wheeler all over the country for over 40 years. He enjoyed baking, cooking and playing the guitar.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Jeanette (Koch) Barnoski; daughters, Linda (Robert) Shinafelt, Cheryl (Rick) Beilfuss, Christine Lemke; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Bella Vista Lutheran Church in Bella Vista.

Katherine Frieda Gossinger
Katherine “Kathie” Frieda Gossinger, 81, of Bella Vista, Ark., died April 12, 2018.
She was born May 23, 1936, in Chicago, Ill., to Arthur Herman Raguse and Mildred M. (Malchaw) Raguse. She graduated from Chicago Teacher’s College and received her master’s degree in education from National College of Education in Evanston, Ill. She married Frank Gossinger on May 30, 1969, in Chicago. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Gossinger of Bella Vista.
A memorial service was held Friday, April 27, 2018, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel in Bella Vista.

Robert Patrick McBride
Robert Patrick McBride, “Pat,” 70, died April 2, 2018, in Bella Vista, Ark., after a brief illness.
He was born in Kansas City in 1947 to Helen McBride and Robert E. McBride. He graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1965 and attended the University of Missouri. He was accepted into the school of journalism. He enjoyed reading, words and discussions about great literature. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Korea from 1968 to 1969.
He was preceded death by his father.
Survivors include his mother; and three brothers, Michael ( Janene), Timothy and Dan (Nancy).
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, at First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista. The Rev. Jeanne Williams and the Rev. Brenda Wideman will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army and the Bella Vista Honor Guard.

Douglas D. Newman
Douglas D. Newman Sr., 85, of Bella Vista, Ark., died April 22, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark.
He was born Aug. 22, 1932, in Center Point, Iowa, to Wilbur Newman and Evelyn (Lampman) Newman. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He worked in the drywall industry and was secretary of the Painters Union in Southern California. He was an avid fisherman, learned to fly, owned his own plane and owned and operated an exotic bird farm.
Survivors include his wife, Lucinda Leischner Newman; son, Douglas Newman Jr. (Shirley); daughters, Dawn Malley (Robert) and Denise Brister (Max); brother, Terry Newman; and grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Highland Christian Church in Bella Vista.

Kay Lyann Sumerwell
Kay Lyann Sumerwell, 68, of Bella Vista, Ark., died April 27, 2018.
She was born April 15, 1950, to Harold and Doris Christensen in Springfield, Ohio. She moved to Bella Vista 14 years ago from Warrenville, Ill. She volunteered at Northwest Hospital for 12 years and was a member of Highland Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kurt Christensen.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Sumerwell; and sister, Carol Hall of Joliet, Ill.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
