Future Care presentation
Join the library for an interactive and educational session focused on the challenges many of us will face as we age at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 3. Carrie Wilson and Jeremy Janes will outline the differences between short-term rehabilitation care and long-term elder care. Topics will include Medicare payment limitations, estimated care expenses in Benton County, and several planning solutions to consider. Bring questions and be ready to be prepared.
Dutch Oven Cooking demonstration
The library will be cooking up a storm at the Dutch Oven Cooking Demo. Bring your appetite to the library for a delicious day outdoors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 9. There is a $5 supply fee for this workshop and the event is limited to 20 spots. Register at the library or on the website. The menu will include ranch chicken casserole Philly, cheese-steak casserole and a dessert.
Blossoms and Bows
The Bella Vista Public Library and the Village Wastewater Company Inc. will be hosting a Mother's Day extravaganza at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12. Children will be able to make beautiful gifts for Mom for free.
Rocket Languages
We offer Rocket Languages through our website. This language learning service offers online courses for 15 different languages. All you need is a library card to access it.
Check out a Kindle
Kindle Paperwhites and Kindle Fires are available for checkout to patrons in good standing. Each device is loaded with several books and may be checked out for three weeks. New books are added to each device every month. See library staff for the check-out agreement and procedure.
Freegal Music
The library has Freegal Music! This service, available through our website, allows our patrons to listen to and download music for free! Using your library card you can access this service. Patrons can download and keep up to 3 songs a week!
Friends of the Library, Encore
The Friends of the Library's used-book store is open six days a week during regular library hours. Everyday low pricing on hardbacks, DVDs, puzzles, children's books, paperbacks, biographies, health and wellness topics, and much, much more are available. All proceeds from this ongoing fundraiser support the library.
Hours of operation
Regular library hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with weekend hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Bella Vista Public Library is located just east of Town Center off Lancashire Blvd. (Highway 340 East, turn at the Bella Vista Baptist Church) at 11 Dickens Place.
