2:30 p.m. Fire­fight­ers re­sponded to a grass fire near the in­ter­sec­tion of High­lands Blvd. and Edinburgh Road.

4:25 p.m. Po­lice re­ceived a re­port that some­one in a rental truck got stuck try­ing to turn around on Witherby Drive.

Tues­day, May 1

2:30 p.m. An Eleanor Lane res­i­dent re­ported an el­derly man with a straw hat in a red car was peek­ing in their win­dows.

8:26 p.m. Po­lice helped re­move a snake that was un­der a Mary Ann Lane res­i­dent's grill.

10:17 p.m. Po­lice ar­rested Jef­frey Wet­zel, 37, on an out-of-town war­rant and in con­nec­tion with speed­ing, fail­ure to reg­is­ter a ve­hi­cle and driv­ing on a sus­pended li­cense re­lated to a prior DWI charge.

Wed­nes­day, May 2

9:05 a.m. Some­one al­legedly drove past a stopped school bus that was load­ing chil­dren near the in­ter­sec­tion of Glas­gow Road and Bal­ta­sound Lane.

4:40 p.m. Po­lice ar­rested Adam Kuet­tel, 34, in con­nec­tion with driv­ing while in­tox­i­cated and fail­ure to sig­nal af­ter re­ceiv­ing a re­port of a reck­less driver near Su­gar Creek Cen­ter.

Thurs­day, May 3

8:30 a.m. Po­lice ar­rested Court­ney Bar­num, 32, on a war­rant for al­legedly vi­o­lat­ing a no-con­tact or­der. Bar­num, who was found at the Bella Vista court fa­cil­ity, was also charged in con­nec­tion with pub­lic in­tox­i­ca­tion.

9:30 a.m. Two dogs were re­port­edly play­ing in the road near the in­ter­sec­tion of Cooper Road and Dog­wood Drive.

9:42 a.m. A res­i­den­tial in­tru­sion alarm was caused by a downed tree on Bere Cir­cle.

4:30 p.m. Po­lice spoke with some­one who was re­port­edly shoplift­ing from Allen's Food Mar­ket.

Fri­day, May 4

1:09 a.m. Po­lice ar­rested David Hutchens, 42, in con­nec­tion with a call al­leg­ing an at­tempted rape on Churchill Drive. Ac­cord­ing to the dis­patch log, the caller re­ported a per­son came at them at a bar and, fol­low­ing the al­leged rape at­tempt, the caller re­port­edly had the per­son at gun­point and the per­son was al­legedly go­ing to try to ram a truck through the res­i­dence. Hutchens was ar­rested in con­nec­tion with two counts of bat­tery in the third de­gree and one count of sex­ual so­lic­i­ta­tion.

11:01 a.m. Po­lice re­sponded to an in­tru­sion alarm at the Bella Vista Pres­by­te­rian Church on For­est Hills Blvd. and dis­cov­ered the alarm was caused by a worker mov­ing things around.

Satur­day, May 5

11:39 a.m. Some­one re­port­edly swerved into an Over­ton Drive res­i­dent's yard in an al­leged at­tempt to hit a dog.

12:50 p.m. Kids were re­port­edly on the bluffs over­look­ing Su­gar Creek near the Bella Vista An­i­mal Shel­ter throw­ing large rocks at peo­ple who were float­ing the creek.

8:58 p.m. Po­lice re­ceived a re­port of gun­shots heard near Spur­lock Lane.

Sun­day, May 7

12:45 a.m. Po­lice ar­rested Makala Pip­pin, 22, dur­ing a traf­fic stop on U.S. High­way 71 in con­nec­tion with speed­ing and driv­ing on a sus­pended li­cense re­lated to a prior driv­ing while in­tox­i­cated charge.

2:10 p.m. A black pit bull with pup­pies was re­ported to have been dumped near the Casey's Gen­eral Store on Rior­dan Road.
