Bella Vista Open Golf Tournament
This Bella Vista tournament is open to members and nonmembers with a verifiable handicap and is a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at the Bella Vista Country Club. The format is a two-person best ball, and each player will play his or her own ball until holed. All players will receive 100 percent of their course handicap, and the best net score of the twosome will count as the team score. Mulligans will be $5 each, 1 per player maximum (all mulligan money goes to prizes, and gift certificates will be awarded in both men's and women's divisions). Tournament tee's for POA events will be: Men, blue tees — 59 or younger; white tees — 60-74 and red tees — 75-plus. Women, red tees — 74 or younger; gold tees — 75-plus.
Registration deadline is at 5 pm on Wednesday, May 30. After this date, a $10 late fee will be added.
Cooper Communities NWA Charity Classic
This professional golf tournament will be held at Highlands Golf Complex located at One Pamona Drive in Bella Vista. It includes a practice for visiting players, Pro-Am party and tournament, golf clinic, long-drive contest and a silent auction. Start times for the shotgun start are at 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., rain or shine.
Registration deadline is Wednesday, May 30.
Pars for Paws Golf Tournament
Help BVAS help animals in need and swing with the big dogs. Registration begins at 7 a.m., with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. sharp, Saturday, July 21, at the Kingswood Golf Course in Bella Vista. There will be no rain date, with play rain or shine. The event is sponsored by Cooper Communities. Women’s 5-Hole Golf
The Women's 5-Hole Golf Association welcomes new members throughout the season, which is from April 22 through Oct. 29. Play is at the Metfield Brittany Golf Course at 9 a.m. on Monday mornings. In July and August, play begins at 7:30 a.m. This is a casual fun group with no handicap in which players score the first five holes and usually play a scramble the last four. Women’s 9-Hole Golf Association
The Bella Vista Women's 9-Hole Golf Association welcomes new members throughout the 2018 golf season. Golf rounds are played on Monday mornings from April 2 through Oct. 22 on Kingswood and Berksdale golf courses. Members sign up by Monday night to play the following Monday, with four flights set by members' handicaps. Membership dues are $30 plus a $6 handicap fee (if not paid through another group) and an optional $2 for a hole-in-one prize. Applications are available at all pro shops and on the www.BV9WGA.com website.
Men’s 9-Hole Golf Association
The Bella Vista Men's Nine Hole Golf Association welcomes new members throughout the 2018 golf season. Golf play is April through October on Wednesday mornings, with reserved tee times and four handicapped flights. Banquets are held in the spring and fall. The association offers weekly hole and flight prizes and supports local charities. Oldes 9-Hole Golf Group
The Oldes Golf Group is seeking new members for the 2018 season. The Oldes play on Tuesday mornings with tee times and play at all of the Bella Vista courses. Most of the weekly golf events are at Berksdale and Kingswood. Texas Scramble is played most often to make the games fair for all participants. 44 Couples 18-Hole Golf Club
The 44 Club league is accepting applications for new members to the 2018 season. The 44 Couples Golf Club's focus is to make golf enjoyable and entertaining. The league plays once a month on Saturday at a variety of golf courses in Bella Vista. The league plays handicapped events with four flights. After golf, the players meet for a lunch or dinner to share experiences and collect prizes. All golfers are welcome.
