Free Clinic for junior golfers June 8

All junior golfers are welcome to participat­e in the first profession­al golf clinic to be held during the APT/Stars of Tomorrow Tour. The clinic will be held at 3 p.m. on June 8 at the Highlands Driving Range. The free clinic will consist of current playing profession­als on tour the week of the Cooper Communitie­s NWA Charity Classic (June 5-9). These profession­als will be showing off their skills and tricks and talking about how to take your game to the next level. PGA teaching profession­als will also be onsite to answer questions about the game and help juniors improve their swings. All are welcome, from young beginners to high school players.

Rally in Pink Golf Tournament June 19

This tournament is a four-person scramble to be held at the Bella Vista Country Club and Kingswood on Tuesday, June 19, and is open to members and non-members. The event will consist of three separate divisions, including women, men and mixed. Tees will be men: white tees — 74 or younger; red tees — 75-plus; women: red tees — 74 or younger; gold tees — 75-plus. Mulligans can be purchased before play begins at two for $10 (cash or check only, with a limit of two per person). Prizes will be awarded in all divisions, as well as CTP for men and women. All prizes will be paid out in the form of golf shop gift certificat­es.

The schedule will be: 7 a.m. — coffee and donuts; 8 a.m. — shotgun start with awards and lunch at Riordan catered by BV Bar and Grill. Raffles and 50/50 will be sold throughout the day (cash or check only). Entry fee is $200 per team or $50 per player plus applicable green and cart fees. Fee includes prizes and lunch after play. Proceeds will benefit Mercy Breast Center, Hope Cancer Resources and Washington Regional Cancer Support Home.

Registrati­on and cancellati­on deadline is 5 p.m. Thursday, June 14. There is a $10 late registrati­on fee.
