James E. Brown

James E. Brown, 70, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville, Ark.

He was born April 4, 1948, in Russellville, Ky., to Mabel Odessa and Earl Brown. He was raised in Owensboro, Ky., and graduated from Davis County High School. He enjoyed being outdoors at the lake and hiking. James was Baptist and attended Grace Hills Church in Rogers, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Trina Brown; one daughter, Vicki Decker (Joe) of Bowling Green, Ky.; two stepsons, Josh Nix (Jessica) of Springdale, Ark., Travis Nix of Huntsville, Ark.; one son, Chad Brown of Tennessee; seven grandchildren; four siblings, Sharon Alexander, Nathan Brown, Charlotte Anderson and Dale Brown, all of Kentucky.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72715.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1732 Moberly Lane, Suite B, Bentonville, AR 72712; or to the Alzheimer’s Association Arkansas Chapter, 10201 W. Markham, Suite 100, Little Rock, AR 72205.
