Folds of Honor Golf Tournament
The Folds of Honor Foundation supports the families of fallen and injured United States soldiers. It will host a four-person scramble on Saturday, July 28, at Kingswood. It is open to members and nonmembers. Entry fee is $200 per team, $50 per person. Coffee and doughnuts at 7 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Flighting will be determined following play. Men, 54 and younger will use blue tees; 5574, white tees; 75-plus, red tees; Women 74 and younger, red tees; 75-plus, gold tees. Mulligans can be purchased two for $10 with cash or check during registration. Lunch and awards will begin at 12:30 p.m. at Riordan Hall. Bella Vista Open
The BV Open event will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Bella Vista Country Club. It is open to members and nonmembers with a verifiable handicap. Players will be pre flighted by handicap before play. The number of flights depends upon participation. Format will be an individual stroke play. All men will play from the white tees — all women will play from the red tees. You can register online at bellavistapoa. com/golf or obtain a registration form at one of the BV pro shops. Checks payable to BVPOA.

Men's and Women's clubs Championship
These tournaments (men and women) will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, and Sunday, Aug. 12, at the Highlands and BV Country Club for members, 18 and older, with a verifiable handicap. Saturday will start with 7 a.m. coffee and doughnuts and 8 a.m. assigned tee times. Sunday will begin with 7 a.m. coffee and doughnuts and 8 a.m. assigned tee times; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. a lunch buffet provided by BV Bar & Grill and awards following play. Format is an individual stroke play and players will be preflighted in each division before play. Entry fee is $70 per player plus applicable green and cart fees. Fee includes tee gift, prizes, coffee and doughnuts, drinks on the course and buffet lunch on Sunday. Players wishing to compete for the 2018 Men’s Club Championship title must register in advance for the Champion Division and play from the blue tees. Players wishing to compete for the 2018 Women’s Club Championship title must register in advance for the Champion Division and play from the red tees.

The Longest Day
Saturday, Aug. 18, the Bella Vista POA Kingswood Golf Course will participate in The Longest Day — a fundraising and awareness event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. The inaugural tournament is an 8 a.m. shotgun at Kingswood with a four-person scramble format. The cost is $200 per team plus the cost of golf fees and carts. The tournament welcomes all golfers of all abilities. Teams will be flighted after play. Lunch will be provided after golf and is included in the entry fee.
