Janice Faye Barton
Janice Faye Barton, 79, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at Highland Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Bella Vista.
She was born Jan. 31, 1939, to Leone and John Intermill. She grew up in Titonka, Iowa, and graduated high school there in 1958. She married Ronald Barton on Nov. 23, 1963. She moved to Bella Vista in 1991 from Fairmont, Minn., where she was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and the Garden Club. Once in Bella Vista she became a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Barton; and one infant daughter.
Survivors include two sons, David Barton of Richfield, Minn., Robert Barton of Bella Vista; daughter, Cheryl Ball of Bella Vista; brother, Donald Intermill of Titonka; sister, Carolyn Cutler ( Jodi) of Long Valley, N.J.; and one granddaughter.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 1o a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1 St Bernard Lane, Bella Vista, AR 72715.

David Allen Hughes
David Allen Hughes, 64, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Aug. 12, 2018.
He was born in Memphis, Tenn., on June 5, 1954. He graduated from Whitehaven High School in 1972 and Memphis State University in 1976. He married Robin Dixon on June 12, 1976. They lived in Texas for 31 years and he taught World History and coached at many different schools. He also taught Sunday School at every church in the towns they lived including the First Baptist Church of Bentonville, where he was a member upon his retirement and move to Bella Vista.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Prudence Burns Hughes and Bobby Gene Hughes; brother, Jon Hughes; and mother-inlaw, Carolyn Dixon.
Survivors include his wife, Robin Hughes; daughters, Dixie Hughes and fiancé, Wes, of Cedar Park, Texas, and Caroline Beyer (Shane) of Rogers, Ark.; one grandchild; three brothers, Ricky Hughes (Kathy), Tim Hughes (Carole) all of Mississippi, Mark Hughes (Denise) of Georgia.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Bentonville, 200 SW A St., Bentonville, AR 72712.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First Baptist Church of Bentonville, Youth Scholarship Fund.

Victoria Olivia Richmond
Victoria Olivia Richmond, 94, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Aug. 16, 2018, at Concordia Nursing and Rehab.
She was born Dec. 21, 1923, in Gary, Ind., to Herman and Elenora Pflughoeft.
Survivors include her sons, David Richmond of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Miles Richmond (Elma) of San Antonio, Texas; and five grandchildren.
A private memorial service was held by the family.

Ewart Gene Scarff
Ewart Gene Scarff died peacefully on Monday, Aug. 13, 2018.
He and his wife Liz enjoyed 55 years together. They lived in many different cities and states. They moved to Bella Vista in 2002. He enjoyed living on the lake, boating, and playing golf.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Scarff, in 2014.
Survivors include his daughters, Debbie Perdzock and LeAnn Smith; four grandchildren; sister, Marianna McKee; and brothers, Tom Scarff and David Scarff.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista.

Marianne S. Taber
Marianne S. Taber, 91, of Bella Vista, Ark., died at her home on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2018.
She was born in Windom, Minn., on June 20, 1927, to Laura Tordsen Soleta and William F. Soleta. She worked for Pacific Telephone Company in California for 27 years. She enjoyed raising horses, playing the piano accordion and had her pilot’s license.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cliff Taber; son, Steven I. Turner; brothers, Reuben, Merlin, James and Robert Soleta; and sister, Ann Clark.
Survivors include her daughter, Starr Kane Allen (Phillip); and granddaughter, Michelle Marianne Turr (Stephen).
In honoring her wishes there will not be a memorial service.
