Patrick Glavin, 40, of Dayton, Texas, was arrested again — this time in Conroe, Texas.

Glavin is being held at the Montgomery County, Texas, jail with no bond and facing charges in connection with 17 robberies in three states — Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana.

Glavin was arrested previously by the Bella Vista Police Department June 21 after officers investigated the robbery of a Walgreens at the corner of U.S. Highway 71 and Benton County Road 40 and learned that Glavin was wanted in connection with multiple similar robberies in the Houston, Texas area.

Glavin was arrested and given a must-appear court date for Bella Vista charge of obstructing governmental operations before he was extradited to Houston.

He was released on deferred adjudication July 26 and allegedly committed two more robberies immediately.

Sgt. Scott McCann with the Conroe Police Department said that Glavin led police on a short chase after robbing a CVS pharmacy.

Glavin allegedly entered the pharmacy with his face covered, gave a note demanding drugs and implying he was armed, then left. This matches other robberies Glavin has been linked to, McCann said.

“They hand him the drugs and he takes off,” McCann said.

After he left, McCann said, an employee went outside and saw his vehicle and got a description of it and where it was headed. Officers staged on Interstate 45 to intercept the suspect, he said, and tried to pull him over. Glavin sped off, he explained, and officers saw something fly out the car’s window — which proved to be the stolen drugs when they came back to recover the object.

Glavin headed near The Woodlands, a community just South of Conroe, before pulling over and surrendering.

He was charged with robbery, evading arrest and tampering with evidence, in addition to several charges from other agencies. Glavin had existing warrants out of Lake Charles, La., Calcasieu County, La., Liberty County, Texas, Harris County, Texas, and Montgomery County, Texas.

“We were happy to catch the guy,” he said. “It’s pretty crazy.”
