Bella Vista Open
The Bella Vista Open will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Highlands and is open to members and nonmembers with a verifiable handicap. The format will be an individual modified Stableford. Players will be preflighted by handicap before play. The number of flights depends upon participation. All men will play from the white tees and women from the red tees. Gift certificates will be awarded in both men’s and women’s divisions. Registration and cancellation deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, with a $10 late registration fee (if applicable).
Prostate Cancer Tournament
The Prostate Cancer Tournament begins at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Kingswood and Bella Vista Country Club courses. The format will be a four-person scramble and is open to men, women, members and nonmembers. The schedule will begin at 7 a.m. for coffee and doughnuts and to purchase raffle tickets; 8 a.m. shotgun start; and 12:30 p.m. awards and lunch at Riordan Hall. There will be women’s division, men’s division and mixed division based upon the number of teams. Some divisions may be flighted after play. Couples 9 & Dine
The Couples 9 & Dine is scheduled for Sept. 21 at Scotsdale and Lakepoint for members only. More information on format, times and flight play to come.
Wall of Honor Golf Tournament
This tournament will be a four-person scramble format with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Kingswood Golf course in Bella Vista. Mulligans and raffle tickets are available that day. Entry includes a goody bag, door prizes and lunch. Money and prizes will be given out, rain or shine. There is a 36-team maximum (144 golfers). The entry fee is $65 per person. All players are welcome and no POA membership is necessary to enter.

Women’s 5-Hole Golf
The Women’s 5-Hole Golf Association welcomes new members throughout the season, from April 22 through Oct. 29. Play is at the Metfield Brittany Golf Course at 9 a.m. on Monday mornings. In July and August, play begins at 7:30 a.m. This is a casual, fun group with no handicap in which players score the first five holes and usually play a scramble the last four. Women’s 9-Hole Golf Association
The Bella Vista Women’s 9-Hole Golf Association welcomes new members throughout the 2018 golf season. Golf rounds are played on Monday mornings from April 2 through Oct. 22 on Kingswood and Berksdale golf courses. Members sign up by Monday night to play the following Monday, with four flights set by members’ handicaps. Membership dues are $30, plus a $6 handicap fee, (if not paid through another group) and an optional $2 for the hole-in-one prize. Applications are available at all pro shops and on the www.BV9WGA.com website.
Men’s 9-Hole Golf Association
The Bella Vista Men’s Nine Hole Golf Association welcomes new members throughout the 2018 golf season. Golf play is April through October on Wednesday mornings, with reserved tee times and four handicapped flights. Banquets are held in the spring and fall. The association offers weekly hole and flight prizes and supports local charities. Oldes 9-Hole Golf Group
The Oldes Golf Group is seeking new members for the 2018 season. The Oldes play on Tuesday mornings with tee times and play at all of the Bella Vista courses. Most of the weekly golf events are at Berksdale and Kingswood. Texas Scramble is played most often to make the games fair for all participants. 44 Couples 18-Hole Golf Club
The 44 Club league is accepting applications for new members to the 2018 season. The 44 Couples Golf Club’s focus is to make golf enjoyable and entertaining. The league plays once a month on Saturday at a variety of golf courses in Bella Vista. The league plays handicapped events with four flights. After golf, the players meet for a lunch or dinner to share experiences and collect prizes. All golfers are welcome.
