Unity Church of the Ozarks

Unity will be serving breakfast at 7Hills Homeless Center in Fayettevil­le at 8 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 30.

Banner Church of the Nazarene

Banner Church of the Nazarene, 597 North Fork Road in Anderson, Mo., will host The Farm Hands, an award-winning band based out of Nashville, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 2. There is no charge for admission; a love offering will be taken.

Highlands Church (United Methodist)

The next 10-week program of Flex ‘N Stretch starts Monday, Sept. 3, at Highlands Church. Meeting days are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30 a.m. in the Peter Classroom. The mission is to challenge, encourage and promote better health through physical exercise. Participan­ts may attend any number of lessons, up to 30.

Flex ‘N Stretch is a wellness program of activities which provides a higher quality of life through responsibl­e movement that is pain-free and possible for all participan­ts. This well-organized exercise program teaches all participan­ts, including seniors, how to do the exercises easily and safely. Benefits include increased range of motion, coordinati­on, strength, balance and agility, all of which improve the quality of life and lead to longer independen­t living. Highlands Church will host “Not Your Typical Car Show” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8. Everyone is welcome to check out the vehicles on display and join in games and trivia. A lunch will be available with a $10 donation. This is a celebratio­n of all things automotive. Village Bible Church

The Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 29. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragem­ent of friendly volunteers.

In Christ.” This Sunday’s sermon is titled “A Study in Colossians — Part 1” with a text of Colossians 1:1-14.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

GriefShare is a support group for those that have lost a loved one. It meets on Thursdays at 3 p.m. in the church library and will continue every Thursday until the week before Thanksgivi­ng.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. until noon. It is in need of jelly, sugar-free Jello and healthy cereals, and 12-count egg cartons. It is also collecting the bar-codes of “Best Buy” products. A container for donations is in the church narthex.

Highland Christian (Disciples of Christ)

Highland Christian invites all who enjoy singing to its fall choir practice beginning at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29.

the Colossians.

Back by popular demand, “James Garrett and Friends,” voted Best Morning Show in Branson for several years running, will bring the music of Glen Campbell to Highland Christian Church at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14. Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista

To enjoy a different kind of book club, stop by The Women’s Book Club’s next meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, in the church parlor. The difference in this club is that books which are chosen revolve around a theme instead of everyone reading the same book. August is reader’s choice month.

Bella Vista Community Church

BVCC’s Community Life Groups start Sept. 9. Small groups meet once a week with the purpose of providing a more in-depth way to learn how to love God, love people and make disciples of Jesus in Bella Vista and beyond.
