Bella Vista Community Church

The Back 40 Fall for All is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Blowing Springs Park. BVCC is serving chili, hot dogs and apple cider from 1 to 3 p.m. and hopes all stop by.

Sunday, Nov. 11, BVCC will have one joint, patriotic worship service in honor of Veterans Day from 10 to 10:45 a.m., followed by a short break. The annual meeting is from 10:55 to 11:30 a.m.

Christmas Tea tickets are now available to the public. Cost is $10. The Saturday, Dec. 1, tea seatings are at 1 and 3 p.m., with entertainm­ent by BVCC’s Sanctuary Choir at 2 p.m.

Unity Church of the Ozarks

Sunday service: “Enchanted Gratitude” by the Rev. Elise Cowan.

A new Wednesday night class is being offered which studies “The Yoga of Jesus” by Paramahans­a Yogananda, followed by 15 minutes of meditation. Everyone is invited.

Highlands Church (United Methodist)

The 30th annual Cookie Walk will be held Saturday, Dec. 1. Doors open at 8 a.m.; the Walk begins at 8:30 a.m. Cinnamon rolls, coffee, sweets and treats, soups to go and handmade crafts are available for purchase all morning. All proceeds support Highlands Church mission and ministry projects. Containers of cookies are $12 each.

Family Movie Night, hosted by Children’s Ministry, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, with a feature of “The Star: The Story of the First Christmas.” The whole family is welcome, and the event is free. Please RSVP on the Facebook page event at Highlands Church of Bella Vista.

The Chancel Choir will present its Christmas Cantata at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, and at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16. Under the direction of John Matthews, the choir will sing “The Glory of Christmas,” a Christmas celebratio­n for choir and congregati­on created by Lloyd Larson. The choir will be accompanie­d by pianist Pam Meyer and organist Jeannine Wagar. All are welcome.

The next Blood Drive, organized by the HUMMERS (Highlands United Methodist Men), is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26. A free cholestero­l screening is also available. Eat well and drink plenty of fluids prior to the blood drive. Photo ID is required.

Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista

This month’s PCBV sing-along at Highlands Rehabilita­tion Center will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9. All community singers are welcome to lift the spirits of the Highlands residents.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. until noon. With the holidays approachin­g, it is asking for 16-ounce cans of pumpkin, condensed milk and cranberry sauce. The pantry also collects “Best Choice” PVC labels. Containers for donations are in the church narthex.

On Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. there is an “Inquirer’s Class.” This is an opportunit­y for people who wish to join Bella Vista Lutheran Church and to learn about the church, how it operates and the Lutheran Doctrine.

GriefShare meets on Thursdays at 3 p.m. in the church library. Those who have lost a loved one are welcome.

Unitarian Universali­sts

Sunday, Nov. 11, features an invitation to ponder how the lives of ancestors have influenced lives today and to reflect on the ongoing spiritual relationsh­ip with them.

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, Nov. 7, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragem­ent of friendly volunteers.

Pastor Mark Voll’s sermon title this Sunday is “Faith Is the Victory,” with a text of 1 Samuel 17 (selected verses).
