Longest Day Golf Tournament supports Alzheimer’s research
The Longest Day Golf Tournament is set for Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Kingswood Golf Course in Bella Vista. The tournament benefits the Alzheimer’s Association in its mission to provide local support to families who are touched by Alzheimer’s and fund research to find a cure for the first survivor of Alzheimer’s, the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S.
The tournament is a four-person scramble loaded with competitions, fun and contests. Crain Automotive returns for the second year and is joined by Great Southern Bank as major tournament sponsors. Golfers will tee off at 8 a.m. at the Kingswood Golf Course, rain or shine. In addition to 18-holes of great golf, there is an optional $10 contest package sponsored by Lisa’s 3 Wishes Travel with four holein-one contests, a putting competition and more. The shots for the hole in one are set at a reasonable 155 yards for men and 130 yards for women. A raffle with exciting gifts donated by local businesses is sure to help the cause.
