Friday, Aug. 30

9:46 a.m. Someone who reportedly did not like the street department’s response to downed trees in the area reportedly cut up a downed tree and stacked it in the roadway, blocking Boswell Drive. Police spoke with the individual, who then agreed to remove the roadblock.

10:01 a.m. Police received a stolen vehicle report involving a black 1983 Chevrolet S10 with a chrome toolbox on Brigadoon Drive.

4:32 p.m. Police arrested Jason Weeks, 28, in connection with driving while intoxicated during a traffic stop near the intersection of Arkansas Highway 279 and Cooper Road.

3:50 p.m. Police arrested Lemual Helt, 50, on out-of-town warrants during a traffic stop near the intersection of Cardinal Road and Robin Road

Sunday, Sept. 1

3 a.m. Police arrested Tonia Smith, 18, in connection with possession of a controlled substance during a traffic stop on U.S. 71.

3:09 p.m. Police arrested Cory Farmer, 33, in connection with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license during a traffic stop near the intersection of Dunvegan Drive and Arkansas Highway 279.

4:23 p.m. Police arrested Thomas Pelter, 67, in connection with assault on a family member in the third degree after responding to a disturbance call on Worcester Drive.

10:54 p.m. Police arrested Alan Perkins, 48, in connection with public intoxication after he reportedly tried to enter the police department.

11:05 p.m. Police arrested Billy Walls, 30, in connection with felony theft of property after responding to a stolen vehicle call at the Casey’s General Store on Forest Hills Boulevard.

3 p.m. Police arrested Chelsea Harless, 36, in connection with criminal trespassing and public intoxication after investigating a vehicle at the lakes and fisheries lab near the intersection of Arkansas Highway 340 and Trafalgar Road.

8:16 a.m. Police received a report of county workers mowing and leaving grass in the road near the intersection of Arkansas Highway 279 and Rogers Road.

8:56 a.m. Police arrested Shannon Steele, 44, in connection with public intoxication after responding to an intoxicated person call at the Bella Vista District Court.

11 a.m. Police received a report of an attempted break-in on Buckfast Lane.

11 a.m. Firefighters handled a vehicle fire involving a grain truck on U.S. Highway 71.

2:33 p.m. A dump truck reportedly crashed into a ditch off Wellington Road.

7:44 p.m. Police arrested Misty Durossette, 41, and James Colvin, 48, both in connection with felony possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop near the intersection of Arkansas Highway 340 and Newquay Lane.

7:59 p.m. Someone reportedly ran over the Bella Vista Animal Shelter’s gate and drove off.
