David Joel Allen

David Joel Allen, 77, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020.

He was born July 23, 1942, to Phillip and Catherine Allen in North Hudson, Wis. He would like to be remembered for the love of his wife of 53 years, for his commitment to his family, church and community. He was honored to serve his country for 28 years in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed hockey.

He is survived by his wife, Dottie; son, Joel (Jennifer); son, Jason (Shirley); and two grandchild­ren.

A Christian graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in St. Paul, Minn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 42040, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

Nancy Helen Brassart

Nancy Helen Brassart, 80, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers.

She was born Oct. 13, 1939, in Scammon, Kan., the daughter of Howard and Helen McNamara Roberts. She was an office manager and housewife. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Perpetual Adoration Group.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alex Brassart; her parents; and three brothers, Thomas, James and Edward Roberts.

She is survived by three sons, Jim Brassart of Centerton, Dan (Rhonda) Brassart of Benton and Tommy Brassart of Bella Vista; and five grandchild­ren.

A Rosary service and funeral mass were held Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista. Interment was Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at Riverwood Memorial Gardens, Maumelle, Ark.

Memorial contributi­ons may be made to Adoration Chapel at St. Bernard.
