Bella Vista Lutheran Church

Pastor Hass is starting a “new member class” this Sunday at 9:45 a.m. This is an informatio­nal class and it is also a refresher class for all members.

The men’s bible class meets on Mondays at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Please enter the north entrance and meet in the library

The quilter’s meet at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. until noon. A container for donations is in the church narthex.

Highland Christian Church

Vivian Keller will lead a Bible Study in the fellowship hall at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5.

At 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, the women will have brunch in the fellowship hall, served by Dorothy Guffey and Betty Pierce. Vivian Keller will speak on “Not seven times, but, seventy times seven.” This meeting is open to all women who are looking for fellowship.

Membership will host a Valentine brisket dinner at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, in the fellowship hall. This dinner is open to all for $10 — reservatio­ns are required by Feb. 9; call the church 479-855-2780.

Unitarian Universali­sts

Sunday, Feb. 9: A second sermon on the topic of courage written by a Unitarian Universali­st minister and delivered by Suzanne Miltich.

Village Bible Church

Wednesday, Feb. 5, the Oasis Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon. This ministry is available to anyone in our area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragem­ent of our friendly volunteers.

Sunday, Feb. 9, Pastor Mark and Associate Pastor Al will continue their sermon series “Lord’s Prayer.”

Unity Church of the Ozarks

“The Miracle of Love” is presented by the Rev. Elise Cowan at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 9. Following the service and refreshmen­ts, at noon all are invited to pray with the church as it Stands In Peace, for five minutes, and holds the vision to assist in manifestin­g peace for the world.

Coat drive for EOA Children’s House continues to Feb 16.

Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista

Local Christian and Country Western performer Cliff Shelder will perform at The Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista (1880 Forest Hills Blvd.) at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, in the church fellowship hall. Dessert, coffee and hot chocolate will follow the concert. Church members should sign up in the connector hallway. Others should call the church to RSVP. A free-will offering will be taken.

The Presbyteri­an Church of Bella Vista will host a workshop on fall prevention at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, in the fellowship hall. The workshop is an interactiv­e discussion to learn more about falls and fall prevention. The presenter will be René Oliver, RN. To learn more about this and other educationa­l programs, call the Schmieding Center on Aging (UAMS) at 479-751-3043. There is no cost to participat­e. Reservatio­ns are not required.
