Albert Franklin Schons

Albert Franklin Schons died Feb. 15, 2020, at the VA Hospital in Fayettevil­le, Ark.

He was born May 14, 1934, to Albert and Dorothy Schons in Kansas City, Kan. He served a total of eight years of active duty. He was sent to Korea as a machine gunner in combat, in the military police, an aide to general and a top-secret courier in the Marines. He worked several years as a deputy warden at the Oklahoma State Penitentia­ry, eventually becoming warden of the women’s ward. He owned and operated several businesses in Tulsa, before relocating to Northwest Arkansas in 2003, where he served as a lake ranger for the Bella Vista Parks Dept. until he retired in 2014. He met his wife, Tamara, in Tulsa in 1999 and moved to Bella Vista, where they shared their lives together.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparen­ts; and a grandson, Derek Schons.

He is survived by his wife, Tamara Simmons-Schons; his sons, Ben Schons (Becky), David Schons (Min), Shawn Schons, Casey Simmons (Jennifer), and Clay Simmons;

his daughters, Vicki Means (Kenny), Becky Sims (J.B.), Karen Rector (Ronnie), and Jenni Simmons; and 15 grandchild­ren.

A service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Fayettevil­le.

Angela Renee Williamson

Angela Renee Williamson, 51, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Friday, Feb. 7, 2020.

She was born on Oct. 7, 1968, in Nuremberg, Germany.

Memorial services were held Feb. 15, 2020, at Forest Hills Church in Bella Vista. Burial followed at Bella Vista Memorial Garden Cemetery.
