Marvin J. Hohl

Marvin J. Hohl, 88, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, April 13, 2020.

He was born in Milwaukee, Wis., to Michael and Mary (Brost) Hohl. He was honorably discharged after serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. He and his wife, Kathy, raised their family in Milwaukee and upon his retirement, moved to Bella Vista in 1995. He enjoyed driving across country, watching NASCAR and playing bingo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and five siblings and their spouses.

Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Kathryn Lee (Schwanke); his children, Sharee (Scott), Michael (Doris), Mary, Dean, John (Linda), Marvin (Heidi), and foster daughter, Stephanie (Damien); and 19 grandchild­ren.

His final resting place will be at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Legion Post 100 or Circle of Life Hospice.

Phil P. Kalinowski

Phil P. Kalinowski, 92, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Thursday, April 16, 2020.

He was born Jan. 31, 1928, in Chicago to Phil and Marie Kalinowski. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He married Doris Fent in 1950. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church as part of the Men’s Club and Knights of Columbus 4th Degree.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Smokie and Mike Kalinowski; and step-grandson, Jason King.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 69 years, Doris; son, Mark (Trish); daughter, Dorine Harderson (George); one grandson; and two step-grandchild­ren.

Inurnment will be at St. Bernard Catholic Church at a later date.
