Ronald Gene Humphrey

Ronald Gene Humphrey, 77, died Oct. 31, 2020.

He was born April 24,

1943, in Long Beach, Calif., to Joseph E. and Bethene Humphre y who preceded him in death. He graduated from St. Anthony High School in Long Beach in 1962. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany where he met and married Ingrid. He had a career as store manager in the grocery business in southern California. He enjoyed golfing, building model trains and dollhouses, gardening and landscapin­g. After retirement, he worked parttime as a real estate agent until 2008 before moving to Bella Vista in 2010. He was a parishione­r of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie-Ann (2017); and his brother, Robert.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ingrid (Greuling); two grandsons; and his siblings, Gayle Hamel of Puyallup, Wash., Gary (Brenda) of Glen Haven, Colo., Richard ( Jill) of Grand Terrace, Calif., David (Kevin) of Martinez, Calif.

He will be buried in California at a later date. Due to the pandemic, no services will be held at this time.

Chester J. Kissel

Chester J. Kissel, 90, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020, at Circle of Life Hospice, Legacy Village.

He was born June 20, 1930 in Kenosha, Wis., to Alexander and Helen Kissel. He graduated from DeVry University Chicago. He served in the U.S. Army.

In August 1957, he married Bernadine Kontowt. Together they had five children and three grandchild­ren. He worked as an engineer for Milwaukee public television for 34 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernadine; and son, Christophe­r.

Services will be held at a later date at St. Bernard Catholic Church to celebrate his life as a Roman Catholic.

Linda Jean Maienschei­n

Linda Jean Maienschei­n, 77, of Bentonvill­e, formerly of Bella Vista, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020, while surrounded by her closest family.

She was a graduate of Drury College in 1966 with a bachelor’s degree in education. She and Terry met at Drury College in Springfiel­d, Mo., and were married in July 1967 in Chicago, Ill. They moved to Bella Vista as one of the youngest residents in 1969, when the city’s population was just 200. Her life of community service began shortly thereafter and continued until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Terry; son, Logan (Krystal) and their five children, Andrew, Jackson, Layton, Noah, and Tori; brother, Dan (Suzanne); and sister, Patty Leavitt ( Tom).

No services are scheduled at this time. Memorials may be made to your choice of organizati­ons. Some of her favorites were CASA of Northwest Arkansas, Single Parent Scholarshi­ps, Benton County Literacy Council, Circle of Life Hospice Bentonvill­e.

Rhonda L. Snyder

Rhonda L. Snyder, 68, of Bentonvill­e, Ark., died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020.

She was born on March 5, 1952, in Niagara Falls, N. Y., to Selden Sr. and Phoebe Snyder. She graduated from North Tonawanda High School in North Tonawanda, N.Y., in 1970. She attended Penn State University as well as Western Wyoming Community College where she earned credits towards her associate degree in social work. She worked for General Motors Company for several years where she met her late husband, Clarence Reardon. In the last decade she owned a residentia­l cleaning business. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, scratch-off tickets and travel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence Reardon (1983); and a brother, Shon Snyder.

She is survived by two children, Asia Fung (Pak) of Bella Vista, Shay Snyder of Bentonvill­e; two grandchild­ren; and a brother, Selden Jr. (Nicole) of Rogers.

Funeral services were held at Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020. Interment followed in the Bradford Cemetery, Clearfield.
