• This is a heartfelt thank you to Jeff, the physical education teacher who stopped to assist me on Thursday afternoon when I had a flat tire on Kimbark. With all the turmoil, strife and diversity in today’s world, there are still people like Jeff performing random acts of kindness.

• I have just seen the U.S. Constitution pages in the paper and appreciate it very much. However, on the top of each page it says, “Know your rights.” We are not a community of individuals with the rights, we are community with a constitution that pulls us together. I think one page might say “Know your rights,” the next page might say, “Know your responsibilities.”

• The issue of abortion is a very complex one. I am personally opposed to abortion because it takes a life. I would like to see us encourage women not to get an abortion, by suggesting birth control or adoption. There are also the issues of rape or incest, which add complexity to the problem. I see it as a very personal concern, one that should be decided by the mother, the father and the doctor, based on the circumstances. For these reasons I am strongly opposed to federal or state regulation of abortion.

• I would like to thank the editor of the TC Line. You have been fair. It’s about time we heard about the Republicans doing good, because we Republicans have seen nothing but Democratic wonderful things in the paper. So it’s about time that we have one slice of our Republican favoritism. So don’t blame it on the TC Line’s editor. It’s about time for change.

• I just wanted to say thank you so much for the story about the donkey and the horse that made it through the fire. It was so heartwarming, and it made my day. Thank you again. That was awesome.

• Encore to Elliot Moore, Longmont Symphony Orchestra and guest violinist Caroline Campbell. The virtual concert (Sunday) night was fabulous. It actually moved me to tears it was so beautiful. Thank you. Keep up the good work. I look forward to the next concert.

• I hope all the people who slam on their brakes at the stoplights have figured out that it won’t work in the snow. I’m staying home (Monday) so you can all practice slowing down when you come to a stoplight, instead of running into each other. Please be careful.

• I’d like to give a shout out to my neighbor Dwight up the street, who did all the sidewalks in my neighborhood, a whole block of them, both sides of the street, and he does that quite regularly when it does snow more than a couple of inches. … I think that’s how it’s supposed to work in the world, folks, people helping people out.

• I’m totally convinced now not to believe anything I read in the Times-call. (Monday) morning, the paper … stated that out of all this snow, up till 8 o’clock (Sunday) night, we got a trace of moisture. How stupid is our weather reporting at this paper?

• I just want to think the Times-call for the autumn Thanksgiving cookbook. It’s a keeper, filled with traditional as well as updated versions of recipes. I really appreciate this. Thanks again. Well done.
