RE/MAX of Boulder welcomes Jen Markus
A longtime Boulder resident since 1976, Jen Markus brings a deep knowledge of the local market, a strong network, a keen marketing eye, and a passion for living the Colorado lifestyle to her real estate clients. A young transplant from Chicago, Jen grew up in an historical cottage in Chautauqua Park, which has been in her family for four generations. Experiencing the Boulder lifestyle from a young age led to a lifelong love for fitness and the outdoors.
Jen spent her early adulthood fostering her love of travel and international development work, attending Middlebury College to study languages and anthropology as a transfer student. After returning to her hometown to attend Cu-boulder, she graduated with a B.A. in American Studies and promptly left for Thailand, where she eventually spent a total of 3 ½ years serving twice as a Peace Corps volunteer. Jen speaks Thai and has traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Jen landed back in Boulder following her travels and embarked on a career in public relations and marketing for the natural products industry.
As Colorado’s Front Range has become a hotbed for entrepreneurs and startup companies in the food and beverage industry, Jen gained deep experience both working with CEOS and their marketing teams in Colorado and nationally. This 15-year career chapter enabled her to hone her skills as an expert communicator, a creative marketer, and to provide her clients with a high level of service.
Shortly after relocating to San Francisco in 2007 to pursue an opportunity as a PR manager at an international nonprofit, Jen met her husband, Arik. After they married in 2009, they returned to Boulder to start a family, and shortly after her son Aidan was born, she shifted her career focus to becoming a professional yoga and fitness teacher. Teaching has fueled Jen’s passion for connecting with her community and motivating her students toward greater health, while also keeping her accountable around her own wellness.

Jen understands the needs of current and future Boulderites. Jen started her real estate career in 2019 as a marketing manager at Compass Boulder, and joined the RE/MAXOF Boulder team as a licensed agent in December 2021, working with team lead and top producing Realtor Digger Braymiller. An avid skier, hiker and paddleboarder, Jen can be seen out on the trails with her dog Jasmine or in the yoga studio on most days. She lives in East Boulder with her family.
