Library funding

No surprise over hand wringing about library funding. The library has long been at the tail end of the line for city budgets. Wondering if this is all conditioning to gain eventual voter approval for a library district. That’s a duplicate and more expensive way to run this railroad. Just because Boulder does it doesn’t mean we must.

Xcel rates

Did I miss an announcement that Xcel was raising its rates? My bill this month was three times what it was last month, and I checked last year’s bill for the same time period, and it was twice as much as the same time period last year. Nothing’s really changed in terms of what I’m using around the house, so I don’t understand why this drastic increase has happened.
