Snowplowing

There’s consideration by the city to send snow removal shovelers out to clear sidewalks that have not been cleared within 24 hours according to a city ordinance. … Snowplows in Longmont snowplow (selected) streets and never snowplow a lot of the side streets. We have been driving on chunks of ice that are very dangerous to drive on, for days, because our streets were not snowplowed. … Should there be consideration that (if) the city doesn’t do snowplowing in some areas that neighborhoods could hire their own snowplows and then send the bill to the city to pay? It would only be appropriate.

Radar and red light cameras

If the city would invest in some photo radar cameras and some red light cameras on roads such as Hover, Airport, 17th, that would make a lot of money and could take care of all the weeds, shoveling snow for people, things would be solved very quickly.

Xcel bills

The comment in Thursday’s TC Line encouraging people who are upset with the huge increase in gas charges from Xcel to give them a call made me chuckle. As soon as I received my first exorbitant bill from Xcel, I called them thinking there must be an error. I had a very nice chat with a sweet young lady whose apparent function is to assure you that while she shares your concerns, there is nothing she or you can do about it.

Chinese balloon

• Haven’t people figured out yet why Biden is not doing anything about this Chinese balloon that’s flying over the country, spying on things? He doesn’t do anything because China owns him.

• All the citizens and politicians that want the Chinese balloon shot down … have no idea of the logistics or whatever because most of them are not in the know. If you sit there and don’t have the scientific knowledge of what you’re doing … when it comes down it can maim or hurt or kill a lot of people.

Ilhan Omar

I’m a Democrat, and I’m not a fan of Kevin Mccarthy, but I think he did the right thing with Ilhan Omar, expelling her from a leadership position, and I think the Congress needs to expel that Republican representative that lied about all of his credentials. They need someone like him out of Congress. He has no business being there, and other than he chose to claim to be a Republican, there’s no truth in him at all. So they need to get rid of him, too.
