First Christian Church and Christos Collective will host an art exhibit centered around the theme of Advent, the four-week season in the Christian calendar dedicated to anticipating the arrival of Jesus. Attendees can explore a diverse range of artworks that delve into the theme of Advent, which reflect various interpretations and perspectives on the subject matter. Artisan Cheesemaking Class: 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Firehouse Art Center, 667 Fourth Ave., Longmont. Kate Johnson, founder of The Art of Cheese and author of “Say Cheese!” will teach students how to make chevre and fromage blanc cheeses in an engaging and interactive presentation.
